Young star Brooks may have to wait for next year

I disagree. No one should be given an exemption. I'd feel pretty annoyed as a souths fan if we play Souths and brooks is granted exemption going on to set up 2 tries and score another which means that the chooks get minor premiership.

What should happen is this 2nd tier cap be FIXED, it's in an atrocious state right now. As we saw with Moylan. Also there needs to be an injury reserve so we can chuck moltzen and whoever in there for season ending injuries (not allowed to play nrl that year no matter what) and we'd have space to put in whoever we want then.

If the player in question is that good its the clubs fault for not blooding him earlier

There are some fairly extreme scenarios being painted here when in all reality its merely junior development

How about koroibete? he won us that game against the eels. And should have won us the game against the dogs. So if we had filled up our caps at that point and needed an expemption to play him then that's not fair.

Or nofo or simona this year, helping us beat the panthers and cowboys.

On the flipside, this year we have been an extreme case ourselves…. A 25 man top tier squad allows for a reasonable injury toll, but this season we were forced to plead for exemptions to merely survive. In some ways we have reaped real dividends because our hands were forced, emerging players proving to be stars, but who is to say we unfairly suffered second tier promotion wise? If fit and able, would we have saved one of our second tier upgrades to blood Brooks? I personally think we would have... If you are to go back to the Farah deal, a sticking point was future signings in key positions....

Its a fine line, and I wouldnt pretend I could find a fair ground for all. Promotions only against fellow cellar dwellers maybe, but for mine its best black and white rulings on these sort of matters.

Dunno WHEN youre talking about Koro….Simona debuted years ago...Nofo debuted in a flooging by souths

Last year.

I'm just saying, it's not hard for a young gun to come up into NRL and have a big impact and if they come up due to an exemption when their season's done they may affect other team's chances at the 8, or 4 or minor premiership. So, exemptions should rarely be granted. The more important thing to do is fix up the 2nd tier salary cap rather than give exemptions.

Parra won the spoon

Damn that Koro

Also scored a double against the dogs I'm pretty sure which is a game we should have won and the NRL basically admitted that, when they said their video ref decision was wrong. And guess what, the dogs got minor premiership by 2 points and would have lost it on P/D if we had beaten em through koro

This is all assuming koro came up through an exemption which he didnt as they are rarely given out.
