Your most unpopular opinion about WESTS TIGERS

This forums judges on lower grade players potential is absolutely rubbish.

Be just as accurate to kill a goat and try to read its entrails.

**On top of that, I don't see anything special in Sironen so far, decent yes, potential superstar.. don't think so.**

Agreed, i think its the name that has people excited tbh

I think Sirro will be very good, but fear, he'll be one of those players who is not quite a five-eight, not quite a backrower, im confident he'll make it, but understand reservations.

That said, it is unfair IMO to say it is all because he is a Sironen, He was a very dominant junior all the way through and is a very good 20 yo kid. Im sure that following in his old man's steps has had advantages, but he has given plenty of cause for fans to be excited regardless of his surname.

Through the lower grades perhaps, i didn't see him in the juniors so i can't comment, however nothing i have seen in fg has warranted the amount of attention he's received imo. Not saying he won't be a good player, but so far people are talking him up like he's the second coming and i just haven't seen the appeal. Happy to be proven wrong though

The whole JV issue isn't unpopular…plenty of fans make noise about it. The sad thing is we still have dinosaurs who ignore it and are stuck in the past.

One club moving forward. Its simple but made complicated by factions always wanting to "get theirs".

Most unpopular opinion for me would be the recent idea on here about needing to make a play for every single big name talent off contract whether we need them or not. Makes no sense, and clubs that are continually linked to players like Eels end up being laughed at and need to overpay as the perception forms that they are a basket case.

We can't score points. This is a myth
We have the worst marketing and membership department in the game
Groat is not a first grader
Benji is worried about performing in the footy show then on the field
We needs big props before Farahs career is ended early
We need to have 1 stadium as our home ground right in the middle of the west and that's parramatta stadium
If we move to Cambo full time ill still support them but won't travel that far

And people wonder why the crowds are down

This ^^^

People will complain about the crowds C-town attracts (not you ball main) then in the same breath turn around and say its too far for them to travel. So in other words they'll criticize the crowds yet don't even attend themselves. Hypocrites

LO is a dump.

I imagine those with a sentimental attachment to the place can't see it for what it is…a run down sh!t hole. In the list of surburban grounds I've been too LO is firmly at the bottom. CO is not to far above it. Close LO, spend money on CO or build something new...not in parra though. Maybe Liverpool if folk don't like the trek out to cambletown...I don't care, just close LO.

Of all our crowds campbelltown is the furthest from me and I hate travelling out there but I think the club has to look at playing more games out there.

We can't go on having three home grounds and decisions have to be made for the good of the club. For mine 8 at campbelltown and 4 at sfs would be fine.

Leichhardt is my favourite ground to go to a lot of memories their growing up but its time is coming to an end as a NRL quality ground.

I feel people will hate this at first up in time they will come.

Well this has gone back to the old battle in a thread that didn't ask for it yet again. Shut it and support our team it's not hard, jeez. We are one now.

Winning the comp in 2005 was a fluke - we were a much better side in 2010 and 2011.

I agree we were but you have to take your chances when they present themselves.

We were a better side on paper in 2010, but 2005 had us playing stronger as a team, a belief in each other. It was a special time, you could see it in the boys.

The us verses them , black and white ..orange and black ..different jersey colors to satisfy a certain fan . Multiple grounds ..your fans didn't attend or your fans didn't attend …Give me a break it,s been 13 seasons yes 13 seasons and this rubbish continues ! to be honest had a gut full. The joint venture is a joke and should be put to bed with the Weststigers and only Weststigers moving forward and leaving all the other rubbish where it belongs in the BIN! I hope the Magpie supporters roll up this week or the Balmain supporters will be at it again next week OH DEAR!!!!

cannot defend very well.
let in far too many points.
time to get rid of the "nice guy " image and play hard & ruthless

What did you expect this thread to produce. Nothing but opening old grievances. How about we play two different teams this week against the Broncos? One team will play the first half wearing black and white and the other team will play the second half wearing gold and black. Should make everybody happy. Ever heard aboy divide and conquer?

Leaving the Magpie / tigers situation alone and not in any order of importance…#1 what to do with Benji..? I dont know...#2 I have always been peed off that when Prince and later Hodgo left ,,,they were never replaced with a quality half or FB #3 I cant stand the 3 ground system..get out of SFS....#4 I dont like our buys of the past few years , so if we cant afford anyone decent ..lets go allout with the young men. Cheers.

Point out where it went " back to the old battle" champ? Seems the only people that bring up the old issues is the same people that call magpies/balmain fans dinosaurs.

All that I can see that has been discussed is the possibilty of one, QUALITY ground.

So, take your own advice and shut it, re read the thread then make comment.

Tedesco shouldn't be on the wing in first grade until he learns the intricacies of defending there!

I think both James Tedesco and Mick Potter would probably agree with you on that, along with most of the forum. His selection on the wing is out of necessity. Tedesco isn't ready to defend for 80 minutes at fullback, we need Moltzen there for most of the game so since we find ourselves with no wingers, Teddy finds himself on the wing by default.
