Your most unpopular opinion about WESTS TIGERS

cannot defend very well.
let in far too many points.
time to get rid of the "nice guy " image and play hard & ruthless

Probably not so much an unpopular opinion Tahger, but I agree and this leads onto my probably not-so-popular-opinion: Despite the fact I hate these blokes, we need a JWH or Watmough to instill a bit of grubby aggression in the forward pack.

#3 I cant stand the 3 ground system..get out of SFS

I'm not a fan of 3 grounds but I'm not sure we should be at LO or CO. I think we should be playing at ANZ.

Young siro is overrated at present (happy to be proven wrong)
Benji is atrocious on the footy show… Not funny, adds nothing
The club did a good thing in letting rhino go - he has a lot of heart but is not a good first grader
Beau Ryan when he left - to have a cry when you're mate didn't get resigned is very unprofessional. This is business

I think David Nofo should have been selected over Tedesco on the wing at the beginning of the year. Tedesco has the potential to be a great fullback, yet we also had a player with potential to be a great winger, so do not understand the selection. He is injured now any way so my point is superfluous but at the time I thought it was a bizarre decision.

That Tim Moltzen is a pretty good footballer.
Our Recruitment/development system is top class, everyone seems to think they are rubbish. I think they have decided to move this lot on and invest in bringing a new bunch through, we seem to have a great bunch coming through.

I agree, the recruitment/development is strong at the moment. Local kids getting a go. Seven players in the NYC this week are from last years Balmain SG Ball. Balmain SG Ball and Wests Harold Matts in the semis this week. While some people are complaining about home grounds and crowds etc, I am more worried about letting the wrong players go. What a good problem to have. When Wests won the SG Ball last, approx 13 players in that side went on to playing first grade in the NRL including the Wests Tigers in 2005\. I support the joint venture. Without the stock, you don't have a business.

If Farah just played hooker and stopped injecting himself in the halves he would be so much more affective and the halves situation would be resolved.
Cam Smith is the worlds best because he is the best hooker he can be and let's the half be a half.

1\. Not a fan of Curtis and never really rated him. I can't imagine he will offer us much, if anything in the halves. Possible potential in the centres/lock

2\. Utai cops way too much flack than he should be getting. I think he is a decent wing, not first class, but he barges into the line each and every run he makes, breaks alot of tackles. His height lets him down.

3\. I think Tim Moltzen is a good footballer. I have always liked him since he came to us, and I think he has copped some unfair criticism due to him playing fullback. He deserves a better go in the halves so I am actually so happy he has his chance this weekend. And how much has he improved in no.1? IMO he deserves a spot in the 13, and definitely in the 17.

With Farah i think it is fine for him to get us moving forward out of our own half but when we hit the 30m from the opposition try line he needs to let the halves take over in creating the play.

Yeah but cam smith has cooper cronk as his half the best no 7 in the game for the last couple of years.

Who do we have??? Miller, moltz,

Farah needs to stop thinking he's benji and just run the ball forward not sidways, keep himself a kicking option not the only one and let players like miller play their position not play it for them!!

Are you serious. Where would be without farah. Get a descent half and he might let go

Get a good half than. Look who smith has around him. What would we do without farah

Wouldn't matter what half you get, farah just dominates to much just watch smith go. As they say less is more.

No to @ANZ Stadium please - Rookwood cemetery has more atmosphere….. Don't go back! Only reason would be if we're in dire financial need.... Anz is only a benefit for origins & GF's, where more of us get to go! Unlike the bad old days where only 10K got to go after scg trust members & corporates were issued their tickets.

well. i created a massive stir on here a few seasons ago with a thread i started called "we need to get rid of benji"!!

i think it was 09, but he had been (in my opinion) a massive liability for a long time, characterised by passes to the 3rd row of spectators, kicks going everywhere but where they should have, missing tackles, etc, etc.
then, in 2010 he turned it all around and i was happy he had become a great 5/8th. he wasnt trying the miracle pass every play and he did his job very well. i am sorry to say that although he is nowhere near as bad as i thought he was back then, right now i think he is pretty terrible. being the "unpredictable" worked for a very short time and now everyone has him figured out (ie; run across field and cramp our backs, never give our backs good ball, constantly turn it in to a forward to run straight back into the markers….) and he needs to get back to playing how he did in 2010\. i thought he was excellent that year.

also, i think moltzen is alright! granted, this is probably because i never did anything in attack as a fullback either...!!

if you look at the squad for 2005 (and i have it on the back of the t shirt i bought!) it was very underwhelming. the nrl season that year was unbelievably close, and there really wasnt a particular standout team…until the finals.
the tigers defence that year (particularly goal line) was just amazing. they really were the most spirited side in the comp and that premiership (the only one in my lifetime, after the heartaches of 88 and 89) will be with me forever. it really was very special, as the tiges werent the proverbial perennial frontrunners.

i still love that they won it in 05!!! :sign: :sign: :sign: :sign:

1) Everyone calling for Chris Lawrence's head is dong my head in! Yes he is below what we expect from him but each week he is getting better. He is starting to hit the line harder than he was at the start of the year and his defence will improve with confidence. People say that form is temporary and class is permanent, that may be true but attitude is everything and he has one of the best.

2) Tim Moltzen is not a fullback. Period. He should play in the halves or as an interchange

3) Steve Folkes was a massive loss to our club. I would like to know our win/loss ratio when he was here and since he left

4) I am not sure the club should have never let Lui go. Not that I in anyway condone what happened however what did the sacking prove? He was picked up by the Cowboys - that is all. Perhaps the club should have stood him down for the rest of the season and supported him through his rehabilitation - not sure if there was external pressure on that decision but we have never recovered.

5) The magpie should be on the sleeve of any club jumper at an agreed size permanently
