Your prediction for head coach??

Not who you want go get it. Have a stab at who you think might get it and lets see if anyone can nail it. Whats your gut feeling?

My stab is Kevin Walters. Working under Bellemy. Cheap option. Some coaching experience in England and various assistant gigs in the NRL. No affiliation with the place. My second guess would be Jim Dymock for the same reasons. Cheapish option, under Hasler, previous experience.

Dymock made his first grade debut for Wests, played 2 years at Wests, but i think he would go OK,I think Walters, but would like Brown.

If Sheens gets a job at the Warriors Folkes

If Sheens doesn't get the job at the Warriors Dymock

All comes down to $$$$$$$

I'd love to see us offer Steve Folkes the gig & lure him back to Tigertown. Knows the players who in return respect him for what he achieved at such a short time there. When Folkes was at the Tigers we finished top 4 in 2010 & 2011.

My horrible gut feel however is that Folkes would command too much & the Tigers are after an unknown on the cheap

Laurie Daley said he thinks it'll be Parrish, so write Parrish off.

If it comes down to simple economics, I think it'll be Steve Georgiallis. But I suspect there's more money available than the media want us to believe.

Read an snippet the other day that some board members had already sounded out a former NRL coach- that puts Brown, Matt Elliot, Rick Stone, Brian Smith, Daniel Anderson, Steve Folkes & Brad Fittler in contention.

Brown only recently re-signed with St Helens, so there would be a matter of compensation to get him I'd think- potentially taking him off the list.

Fittler is a bad fit for mine if the board wants 'direction' & 'control' back over the playing group. Smith is perhaps building a reputation as 'damaged goods' after several failed seasons.

Reckon it's between Elliot, Folkes, Anderson & Stone.

Gut feeling says Folkes or Elliot…... I'll go Folkes if Sheens leaves, Elliot if Sheens stays.

I think it'll be someone from left field but who turns out to be a good option. Like mentioned above an Anderson, Stone or Elliot. I don't think anyone in the media has any idea who we'll get. I get the impression the media are pushing Parish's barrow.

I would like to see Walters given the job. Anyone you can sit beside Bellamy in one of his tirades and still look composed should have no problem helping us get back on track! Folkes would be great to have back us defensive/assisant coach.
But if Des wants a bigger challenge???

I was thinking the same thing until I remembered Kearney

You would not employ Elliot even if he was free

I'm not convinced Elliot is that bad a coach. I think he's had some pretty poor teams in Canberra & Penrith, which certainly contributed to his struggles.

Folkes or Walters for mine….Parish not a good choice...need some mongrel and discipline...Folkes delivered both while he was here...Walters sits under Bellamy and that club gets described as clinical, disciplined...

Kevin Walters worth consideration. I like his cool temperament. He comes with no baggage & a great pedigree as a very successful elite player who has learnt his trade under some great coaches. If he ticks all the boxes with the selection panel give him the job for 2 years with a performance clause.
