Did I miss something? Did the players really kick up a fuss when Garner was dropped?

I’ve been thinking about how we can improve our poor edge defence. Marshall’s defence has deteriorated to the extent that his position in the side is untenable. Garner, too, has had his defensive issues and he, in combination with Marshall, are simply not working.

I would replace Marshall with Mbye. We are stuck with him for two more years and there is a chance he could add value at 5/8. Hopefully Benji retires and JRey moves to the ESL, which makes Mbye one of only a few options for next year. Certainly, he is a better defender than the other two, which is my main reason for choosing him.

I would replace Garner with Blore. He hits hard in defence and hopefully has a long term future with the club.

To replace Mybe at left centre I would choose Kepaoa, rather than move Tommy. I know Tommy is a centre but he has been doing a decent job on the wing and looks much more comfortable under the high ball. We’ve got Kepaoa long term so let’s give him a crack and see how he goes.

I see that a number have suggested that Douiehi moves to 5/8 or centre. He has been coming along nicely at full back and was the only shining light on a very grim night against Easts. He’s easily the best fb at the club, so until a better one comes along I think that’s where he should stay.

I have picked Packer, but without any enthusiasm. We really are scraping the bottom of the barrel here. I’m hoping Packer arcs up against a Cleary coached side (within reason).

I hope that whatever team we put up this week we throw the ball around like we did for the first 15 of the second half against the roosters....regardless of the game being done or not, it was so good to watch

I'm just looking forward to next year. We have 5 games left, out of the finals and conceivably might not win another game. This is the ideal time to give Kepaoa and Madden some game time imo.

Madden is not a great defender but he is young so any time he gets in first grade will only pay off in the long term.If it was my decision he would be in the 17 for the rest of the year in place of Benji

if grant goes ba k to melbourne why would we be playing him surely try and give simpkin a go or put Madden on the bench and bring him on and try brooks at 9 and Madden at 7 either Mmbye or Douhie at 6
please lets not help grants development if he is leaving
