Well with the club rule that Mbye must be picked every week this was probably the only remaining option.
He can't play centre.
Liddle or Simpkin will be on the bench so there' no room there.
There was nowhere else to put him.

I am very confident Laurie's best position is 6 and that he is a better 6 than Douehi is. But Laurie is also our best fullback and Douehi is our second best 6. Moving Douehi off the ball is not the solution because he's our second most dangerous player.

Would Douehi be a centre at Melbourne? Yes probably.

Not here, not unless we have a better 6 AND a better 1.

Good on Madge for changing a few things around,Mbye is a half by trade,he can defend and AD does a reasonable job in the centres...It doesnt matter what Madge does it wont suit the people who dislike him and think they can coach better than him...
He showed in his presser that there really needs to be change within this team and he is sick of being embarrassed by the teams lacklustre defense..
He may as well try anything he can because the young talent and older experienced guys dont seem to be on the same page during games...
I dont care who he moves or where to as long as he is the coach,the club should let him do what he likes to try and get this team performing to an NRL standard..
Im sick of the ordinary performances by this team and they are paid to play the game,as Madge said he shouldnt have to tell them to tackle and defend their line...
Hope all works well for the WTs this weekend allround,for players and coaches...

I watched the highlights of his press conference. I felt sorry for him. He looked like a man with the 2000 yard stare. It's not a nice look.

This is part of the masterplan given that Mbye has been ordinary in the centres and not much better as a dummy half so if he goes alright at 5/8 with all the team coaches in Brisbane this weekend the Tigers may still off load him this year.....................just a thought????

it's probably more about Brooks and trying to get him to wake up and take complete control, even though he needs a month in reserve grade to remember how to play football.
