I like Dwyer off the bench..thats his spot, he is not ready for starting spot yet…

If Gibbs is back I would not expect too many changes. I would predict the side to be.

1\. McKinnon
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Utai

6\. Marshall
7\. Lui

8\. Payten
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. Gibbs
13\. Heighno

14\. Moltzen
15\. Woods
16\. A Schirnack
17\. Fifita

Personally I would tweak it to have Brown on the wing and Utai to the bench because of the height and rapid spread of the Raiders ball movement and their backline speed.

Anyway that is my call on what the team will be. I am assuming Ellis is out for a while

I would drop Utai for Brown as Ferguson will jump over tall wingers and I fear what he may do to Utai.

Ferguson wont jump over Ayshford. Ayshford will field the bombs and Utai will most certainly be in the side

Payten into starting lineup for one of the Shirnack's who drops back to the bench.

Gibbs onto bench if fit dropping one of the Shirnack's off the bench.

assuming Gibbs and Ellis are still out

thats what i think it will be too

al schirnack's defence was great last night, whilst jason's was pretty average

also interesting that al played left second row to start and right second row in his second stint, not up the middle like he is used to.

1 change….Simon back to BRET for a spell

I would agree with that. I just don't think we will see it.

Plus he would play for the Pies this week as BRET have the bye

Al put on two big hits in his 17 tackles - but Jason made 25 tackles and was just as effective with a higher work-rate!

Given Fulton is missing - we don't need big hitters - we need high work rate defenders to replace what Liam provides for us!!

I wouldn't begrudge either the start next week - but defence is not just about a couple of big hits - it is about all the off the ball work that Fulton, Gibbs & Jason Schirnack specialise at!!!

I'm not sure on injuries and so on, this is what I would like to see… no chance it'd come to fruition though.

1] Moltzen
2] Lote
3] Ayshford
4] Lawrence
5] Daniela

6] Benji
7] Lui

8] Galloway
9] Farah
10] Fifita
11] Dwyer
12] Ellis
13] Heinington

14] Woods
15] Gibbs
16] Payten
17] Utai

To be fair Red Al worked very hard at rushing the outside once the tackle was effected to cut offload ability. Both were good and being NRL contracted Jason is more likely to keep his spot but Flanagan also made a comeback so that may be the option Sheens opts for

Mate - I agree - I was just responding to the notion that Jason's defence was ordinary - certainly not bagging Al!

Both deserve another run! They're a pair of tough bastards!
