Your team for round 1 2011

if beau grabs a bench spot i wont be complaining…but i would much rather brown and to a lesser extent mckinnon. due to beau publicity attention it will be interesting to see if he gets a pity spot.

Got some Decent depth in 2011 - Should make for some good arguments here.

B-Ryan is developing and the Boys love him. I wouldnt mind him or Brown on the bench as our reserve Back

I notice that Beau RYAN is not in any of your teams for 2011 !

Why would he be? If Tuiaki is fit it's a no-brainer he will get a wing spot. Ryan's best hope is to snag a spot on the bench or bide his time until injury strikes.

Stay cool Willow, I totally agree, I thought Beau had his mind on the Footy Show last season, and that gig suited him, but I didn't think he played his best footy in 2010, so I hope Tuiaki is back, then perhaps Beau will find himself on the bench or awaiting injury. Other than that I like most of the teams named but I would have Daniella in the centre there somewhere

Danielas defense was the best aspect of his game in 2010 IMO, it was awesome

He never let us down once at center or on the wing.

daniela and ayshford are both good - ayshford has more of a modern day centre physique - daniella is smaller, possibly hence his defence - but just this past season daniella has not been found wanting - he covered well and blossomed against the warriors at campbelltown in 2010

x1

His one on one defence was pretty good for a guy his size. Has a great ability to spring off the line and read the play. He got caught out once or twice but other than that it was good to put pressure on the attacking side.

Like Mitch Brown, Daniela had a pretty ordinary start to the season and his defence certainly wasn't good. Like Brown though, he worked very hard and gradually got better as the season went. Didn't get as many opportunities as Brown in FG, but those opportunities he did get certainly were not wasted. Can't see him in the top 17 for round 1, but he's a good replacement to have in the event of injury.

Daniella has Good Pace but need to ensure he isnt a the chink in the Tigers defence.

Your saying that purely on reputation because Daniella didn't make any defensive mistakes while in first grade.. In fact he made some great reads and some great tackles.

Ayshford had worse defense than Daniela last season

he made up for it in the 2nd half of the season….his offense made up for his defensive flaws anyway.

Ayshford only came good for the last third of the season and the finals. I'm not a fan of his passing to his wingers but hopefully he fixs that up when Tui is outside him.

Either way who ever we pick should do the job. God its good to have some depth

ive noticed that there are many opportunities gone wasted when ayshford is able to get his torso free out of the tackle and there is no one in support for him to offload to.

Ayshford was superb towards the end of the season and especially in the finals… Then to find out he was playing crook... he should play crook all the time if that's how he plays!!!

The Tigers would be the most concerning side to opposition coaches next season… especially if Tuiaki can get it right for round 1\. How many sides have attacking options EVERYWHERE? Outwide we have to monsters, two of the best young centres in the game being feed by the best attacking players and 5/8 in the world... Then with Moltz at half he will catch any forwards taking a nap or focusing on Marshall and our attack out wide... his change of pace is explosive when he takes on the line which is why he has to start the year at half imo.

Ohhhhh and whether it be Brown or McKinnon at fullback.... Farah's going to have the support he's been missing in seasons gone by...

Absolutely pumped for next season!

As long as injuries are minimal and our key players stay injury free... we'll be VERY hard to beat....
