Stats aren't the be all and end all of a game. I look at what effect or no effect a tackle or mistackle has on the bearing of the game or play.
Stats are a guide imo.
Is there a stat for every stuff up in the game like not passing the ball to an unmarked player who would have been unopposed to the tryline. Is there a stat for being so out of position the player may as well been sitting in the grandstand.
As far as the Brooks haters go, they seem to have blinkers on when they quote the stats.
I'm sure their judgement is clouded by emotions sometimes.

Stats don't tell you that Simpkin was caught out at marker multiple times and players ran straight around him

Brooks got bumped off a few times yes but he slowed the ball carrier down, just admit you dislike him

Liddle isn't much better if at all. Jake will find his feet, can't stand the subpar service from liddle. The amount of times I've seen first receiver hop to grab the ball on their chest is ridiculous. His first job is passing the ball, you can't do that right, then any other alternative is better.

I think Liddle offers a lot more than Simpkin in both defence and attack , no doubting Simpkin has a future but at this time its Liddle for mine

I think people are referring to Nu Brown who signed a NSW Cup contract last week. I didn’t see the game but I assume he must’ve killed it. Note this week all NSW cup and development players are now eligible for selection. I reckon Rua might’ve been given a run if he didn’t get injured.
