Your team v penrith next week

Galloway out? Since when?

1\. Moltzen
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Lawrence
4\. Reddy
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Humble
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Woods
11\. Blair
12\. Murdoch-Masila
13\. Fulton

14\. Ayshford
15\. Moors
16\. Bell
17\. Cashmere
18\. Spence
19\. Lovett
20\. Davis
21\. Fotuaika

Minimal changes other than those required through injury. We did well against Brisbane. I think those two bomb mistakes were freak accidents and Moltzen provides so much attack from the back that he wouldn't provide anywhere else and I can't see anyone else on our roster being more effective from there. Throw Spence, Lovett, Fotuaika and Davis on an extended bench and inform them and Moors that the 17th spot goes to the guy that shows the most at training during the week. Separate the five of them into their own group and put them through some real solid stuff. Put in the guy that shows the most toughness.

Rumours tell us that there are a host of very talented footballers already on the outer with their current clubs, who would do just about anything for a release if it meant a crack at first grade with a rival club. In our current predicament, we need to be proactive and do something to bring season `2012 alive for the Wests Tigers. I know thinking too much outside the square is unlike our current management, but we are already heavily linked to George Rose and Shane Shackleton who I believe would both be of great benefit to us, I have a list of others who I also believe could help us win games:

Daniel Mortimer - He lacks the creativity to be a good quality halve, but is one of the best back up players running about. He could be a sensation at fullback and is also very effective coming off the bench as he can cover plenty of positions and is a very dangerous dummy half when running at tired defenders. He is contracted to the Roosters past this season, but he will have to rely on injuries to get a permanent spot in their top 17).

Krisnan Inu - All Wests Tigers fans know exactly how dangerous he can be. It`s rumoured he has a bad attitude, I`m hearing he wants to move back to Sydney at all costs, I think he would be a perfect fit for us covering either fullback, centre or wing.

Michael Lett & Sandor Earl - I`ve grouped these two together as they are very similar type players, both have blistering speed, they are both prolific try scorers in both the lower grades and first grade each time they are given a chance, but in my mind neither of them get a fair go. They both have the odd mistake in their game, what player hasn`t, but these two quite often score tries from more than 50m out, we need some genuine speed on the end of our backline.

Sam Williams & Chad Townsend - Both are young NATURAL halfbacks which is something of a rarity these days. Both constantly dominate games in the lower grades and also showed plenty of abilty when thrown into first grade with the Raiders and Sharks respectively last season. They both play straight and have good confident kicking games which are two aspects of play we are desperately lacking in.

Luke Burt & Bronx Goodwin - I have linked these two together as they are both VERY SAFE FULLBACKS, not at all afraid to attack the high ball and both very good back up players who score plenty of tries. I would not object to either of them wearing the Wests Tigers number 1 jersey for the rest of `2012, but if I had the choice I would probably prefer us to recruit either Daniel Mortimer or Krisnan Inu as in my opinion they have the edge in attacking flair at this stage of their careers and I believe we need a match winner to wear the number 1 jersey.

Justin Horo & Jack Bosden - Again I have grouped these two players together as I believe they play the game very similarly. Both not getting a start in first grade at their current clubs, but both play the game very aggressively and run the ball very hard on the fringes which is exactly what Benji requires for him to perform at his best. With the loss of Simon Dwyer last season and now having Gareth Ellis out for the majority of this season, we desperately need some back rowers who will run the ball aggressively and have that genuine line breaking ability. I believe Josh Davis already with us also fits this description.

Jake Marketo - I think Jake is the son of former Tiger Mike Marketo, he is a Holy Cross junior and is a very tough & uncompromising footballer, very much in the Dean Young mould. He can play as a back rower, hooker or fill in at 5/8 when required. I believe he`s a better footballer than Dean Young at this stage of their careers, but the Dragons will not drop Dean Young because of the family tradition at the club, therefore Jake Marketo is stuck in the State Cup team. Young Jake is well and truly up to first grade, mark my words. With the Wests Tigers he would be the perfect bench utility, we need to be giving Robbie Farah a couple of short spells each game whether he likes it or not, it will be very beneficial for both Robbie and the team as a whole.

Now most of you would ask how we can sign any of these players with the Salary Cap already full???
My solution is trade the under performing players or others who Tim Sheens simply will not use in first grade. Unfortunaly we are stuck with players such as Tim Moltzen as no other team will be interested due to the recent events, but I believe there is plenty of interest in some players such as Blake Ayshford, Jacob Miller and Junior Moors. I believe Jacob Miller will develop into a good quality first grader, but he is a ball running 5/8, not a controlling halfback like we are trying to develop him into. I`d personally like to keep Junior and give him much more of a go in first grade, but that doesn`t appear like it will happen in a hurry for whatever reason. I believe Blake Ayshford needs to be sacrificed in order to bring some genuine speed into the side.

We won`t be able to fit Krisnan Inu under the Salary Cap this season, but I would love to see him in Wests Tigers colours in `2013\. The others who I have listed above could all be real possibilities to switch to us for the remainder of `2012 if we negotiate well.

1.Daniel Mortimer/Krisnan Inu
2.Michael Lett/Sandor Earl
3.Beau Ryan or Dane Chisolm (some genuine pace in the centres would be nice).
4.Chris Lawrence
5.Lote Tuquiri
6.Benji Marshall
7.Tom Humble/Tim Moltzen
13.Adam Blair
12.Liam Fulton
11.Ben Murdoch-Masila
10.Matt Bell
9.Robbie Farah
8.Aaron Woods

14.Liam Reddy/Jake Marketo
15.Justin Horo/Josh Davis
16.Shane Shackleton/Ray Cashmere
17.George Rose

1\. Ryan
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuqiri
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller

13\. Fulton
12\. Blair
11\. BMM
10\. Bell
9\. Farah
8\. Woods

14\. Moors
15\. Cashmere
16\. Davis
17\. Humble

I don't really care who we put out on the field as long as they get the job done

That being said I believe we should rest Moltzen and Groat. Give them a week off, let Moltzen rest off his injuries same going with Groat

Mortimer? Horo? Shackleton? They will not improve our side in the slightest.

You name a side with all these new signings yet your halfback is Humble or Moltzen, I mean really! Aside from front row 7 is the biggest issue.

A genuine halfback would be nice, but with Braith now assured he will be wearing the number 7 for us over the next 2 seasons, we`re not a real attractive proposition for a halfback. Shackleton is solid and atleast hits hard in defence, I`d take him in a heartbeat. I believe Horo is under rated, he runs hard every time he gets the ball and has a bit of speed for a back rower, I believe he`s the type of player who would work real well with Benji. Ayshford would be ok in the second row if he was prepared to use his shoulder when defending, but he refuses to do it.

Liam Reddy?
Signing soccer players are we?

I dont usually do these ''your team next week''…..but been thinking a lot on it

Benji's stifling anyone else in the 7...he's over ruling and over riding everything.
He's doing too much, trying too hard.
Not much to lose now, I'd like to try him at fullback....get him outta the way for the most part
Get Miller & Humble in the 7 & 6, Moltzen at 14

1 Marshall
2 Ryan
3 Ayshford
4 Lawrence
5 Tuquiri
6 Humble
7 Miller
8 Kilo
9 Farah
10 Woods
11 Blair
12 Moors
13 Fulton
14 Moltzen
15 Bell
16 BMM
17 Reddy

Ryan to dummy half final 10 mins each half - reddy to wing
Lawrence or Ayshford back row late spell - forward off, Moltzen on floating

Ignoring the well meaning but unrealistic post about signing up most of the NSW Cup and a soccer goal keeper - I personally don't think we need to change much at all except perhaps luck and definatly not Marshall to FB - dumb dumb dumb

Fb - Moltzen - Plenty of practice under the highball and practice communication
W- Tuqiri
C- Lawrence - He has to come back to form eventually
C- Reddy
W- Ryan
FE- Marshall
HB- Humble - thought he was quite good on friday myself
L- Blair
SR- Fulton
SR- Ben Murdoch Masiala
P- Woods - will hopefully confirm his city spot with the rest of the front row this week
H- Farah
P- Galloway

R1- Ayshford - If he had caught that ball last week then it might be Reddy on the bench
R2- Bell
R3- Cashmere
R4- Moors

I have a feeling we will win our next 3 and be back in form come the bye

I was toying with the idea of playing Woods at lock for big minutes against the Panthers.

The reason being I think he would be a real asset in the middle for those minutes and that Bell is an immeasurably better starter than he is a bench player

cant be bothered picking a team when i know Sheens wont make any changes to last weeks team barring injury .
Moltzen will be the first picked as we all know.
Hey Smeg you gave me an idea , Moltzen to lock , he tackles well and can be an extra pair of hands on the blind , and will still back Benji up , wouldnt get close to a bomb unless they put up a mid field bomb .hmmmmmMoltzen to lock for Rhino.

Is Bell mobile enough to play second row ???

13 Fulton
12 Blair
11 Bell
10 Woods
9 Farah
8 Keefy (If fit)

Most likely line up IMO…
1) Moltzen
2) Ryan
3) Reddy (if fit)
4) Lawrence - gee i really hope he finds some of his 2010 form....
5) Tuqiri - needs to get fitter!!!!
6) Marshall
7) Humble - actually been impressive!!!!
8) Woods
9) Farah
10) Galloway (again, if fit)
11) Blair
12) Murdoch-Masila
13) Fulton - used to play 5/8, and can tackle like a machine!!!
---
14) Ayshford
15) Bell
16) Moors
17) Cashmere

Boonboon, it`s worked well so far, why change anything?

And come to think of it, that soccer goalie is looking for a contract and has more aggression than most of our current side, so I`v heard of worse ideas!
I still cannot believe the youngest bloke in our side got poleaxed and the rest of the side stood around like dears in headlights.
I didn`t make it to NRL level, but I know when I was playing if one of my team mates got taken out by the other side, legally or illegally it was a war for the rest of the game. Most other NRL sides treat it this way as well, we will not get anywhere until we get that spill blood for each other mentality back!
