Last night's goal kicking made the Wests tigers look foolish amateurs. I wouldn't call any of them goal kickers. Madden at half would be a much more reliable goal kicker than any of them.

This team looks about right. I was also thinking AD could use a week off to freshen up, but not sure Madge thinks the same. In the press conference Madge said AD was fine.

If Douehi was fine I have to question whether Wests Tigers made the right decision when buying him from Souths.

Half tempted to drop Mbye altogether or play
him as a utility on the bench, but his pace and support play is just better than AD. AD is pretty safe at the back under the high ball but hasn’t shown me enough to think he’s the answer to fullback or 5/8. I think he’d make a decent centre because he has a knack of beating the first man in and is deceptively strong. I’m even half interested to see if Nofa could handle the fullback role.

Brooks isn’t a halfback. Can’t control or seal a game. He’s a running 5/8. Give him a licence to roam and I think we’ll see the best of him.

Walters is a decent backup but nothing more. Benji/Brooks/Reynolds has a bad game and everyone is screaming for a swap. Long term, Brooks could give the 5/8 spot a shake. If he can’t we need to move him on. We really need a consistent controlling half next year and possibly a fullback.

I would start Blore & move Twal to front row with Aloiai being more effective of the bench I would also give Kepaoa an opportunity over Talau who is a centre & not a winger.

A leader who leads by example on the field
Mbye just doesn't have that leadership quality
When Packer comes off give the captaincy to Harry till the end of this season
He may enjoy that responsibility
It could be another feather in our cap

I reckon he’d be a terrible choice for captain. He’s suspended half the time and when he’s on the field he only plays 40 minutes. Fine being a leader in the pack but you don’t want him talking to the referee.
