I agree with you. Just looking at it from an admin point of view. They can't sit out a player on that kind of money without huge criticism as well.
It's all self preservation. Nobody wants the sack.
A feeble argument and yet more examples of a lack of accountability. This gutlessness includes the coaches and administration. How can a club improve if it doesn't admit its mistakes and do something about them?

Perforated bowel finally tames Tigers' Charlie Staines​

Wests Tigers recruit Charlie Staines battled through his side's tight round-eight loss to Manly with a perforated bowel, and will now miss up to three months as he recovers after surgery.
 
Feel sorry for Charlie ,will be missed apart from that I'm happy with the team
However the perennial problem remains that is how to get our half's to create gaps overlaps etc .Hope our half's and edge backrowers and centers actually DRAW and PASS not just pass and give wingers good ball not just hospital passes

I repeat, please swap Brain old and Wakeham as they both will be better off.
