Why is Canberra doing so well?

Seriously, they are going total gangbusters for a team that I thought would be busted.

Sebastian Kris? (who), A Hopoate, Jarred Croker found another year in him. Rapana ofcourse is a good player (yet maybe with 1 year in him).

Wighton is off to Souths. SUre you have Tapine, Young, Papalii... but seriously this is not a team meant to be in the 8 at the moment.

Yet here they are. Ricky might even get some silverware.

Hope it matches the spoon Ricky (bar we love you Ricky. ok your playing against the Tigers, so Die Satan... Next week we will love you again).

Ricky does have one Premiership ring as a coach - and this squad is not too far off what has taken the Raiders to one losing GF!

I think you answer your own question when you use the term:

"this is not a team meant to be in the 8 at the moment"

Bcause that leaves you with looking at WHO the teams that "are meant to be in the 8" - which I assume includes Parra & Easts....

They aren't where they are "meant to be" because they have played crap (notwithstanding Eels recent form) - and someone else needs to take their place... hence the Raiders current ladder position!

If blore doesn't get picked I think the kid should look elsewhere he's had a horrendous run of injury and needs time in grade to get some miles in his legs he's getting through 80 minutes in cup in most game's bar one with a ankle injury and I'm sure he would punch out an impactful 30 minutes in grade now

I'd bring Naden straight back in on the left edge inside Toops over Talau. don't believe we lose anything in defence and have plenty to gain in attack. Timoko will be a tough assignment for whoever we place on him.

Koroisau likely playing 80 in Adelaide and then backing up 2 days later will surely mean limited minutes. Simpkin to start the game. give Api 15 either side of half time which will hopefully be enough to get us home. if we decide that he needs to be rested then I'd be playing Will Smith off the bench.

Pole back to 13. Matamua is still a little while off and needs time in Cup. Blore easily the most ready to come back in and I think he'd be brilliant thru the middle, although I wouldn't be surprised to see Seyfarth named on Tuesday.

I like this team a lot. But!!! Brent Naden needs to be spoken regarding his discipline. The reason for his suspensions this year have not been tough, aggressive or plain unfortunate. They have all been dumb and deliberate actions that have cost us as a team.

We don't want that.

the raiders and sharks draw is so ridiculously easy its virtually impossible for them not to make the 8

the sharks are 2nd yet havent beaten another top 8 side lol
