  21 are named..

I'm curious are people picking Thompson over Lolohea because they want him in THEIR team or because it looks like Cleary will name him there…

Kevvy and Rowdy have also seemed to regain some popularity..

Pretty pointless naming your own team I find. What you want is usually irrelevant and a waste of time. Better off picking the side based on what you think it will be.

Lock it then..?

Our you could start the great Ivan's team prediction thread…

Of course there should be… there’s a lot of kudos to be had for reading Ivan’s mind.

IMO Lolo is the closest thing we have to an X factor, can't leave him out.

Elijah at nine for the whole game without cover nor a run would likely be a really big ask/risk.

Yeah I doubt we'll see that, he'd be busted by the end of the game and we'd lose any momentum out of dummy half. A 4 forward bench requires a solid 80 minute hooker.

1\. Thompson (Give Lolo 1 week in ISP and see how he responds)
2\. Nofoaluma (Certainty. Even with his defensive problems)
3\. Marsters (Way too talented to be in ISP. Even if he's a little rough around the edges)
4\. Naiqama (Would rather Milne but Kev earned his spot in the trials)
5\. Watene-Zelezniak (Probably our fastest outside back)

6\. Reynolds (You don't pay 750k for someone and not have him start)
7\. Brooks (Really hoping he matures this year but I'm not holding my breath)

8\. Packer (Looked a little tired in the trial but that's expected being his first match of the year)
9\. Taylor (If we're having Marshall on the bench we'll need an 80 minute hooker)
10\. Matulino (Really hoping for big things from him this year)
11\. Lawrence (Solid and has earned his spot in the starting side through the trials)
12\. McQueen (We spent too much on him to put him in ISP)
13\. Eisenhuth (With Taylor at 9, it makes it much easier to fit him in the side)

14\. Marshall (Super sub. This will mean putting Reynolds at 9 which I'm not too happy about but, what ya gonna do?)
15\. Aloiai (Our most damaging forward. Almost a shoo-in)
16\. Felise (Based on the first trial, I have more confidence in him than Sue)
17\. Twal (Our most effective tackler, you can't not have him in the team)

Anybody know about McQueen did he play in the trials .They treat us like mushrooms on the Weststigers website I didnt see the trials my computer wasnt up to streaming

Played the majority of the ISP trial against Newtown then backed up for a stint against the Sharks…

Think Rochow will get the job over McQueen, Grant over Felise, Sue over Twal and Reynolds will move to hooker when Marshall comes on . This is based on trial form , what Reynolds said about him, Books and Benji being on the field same time.

Ke?

Surprised?! I will bloody surprised if Tui gets a run over Thomson. I also think Kev will win out over Milne, although Milne may have a long term edge, but like Tui he will need to play into form in the reggies first. Fonua will have to take his spot from MWZ, which doesn't look like happening for a while. As for Gamble, I cant make my mind up on him until I see more than a few minutes in 2 trial games. (Where is all the hype on him coming from?).

The forwards and bench are harder to pick in my view. Twal and Aloiai must be in the side. Taylor, Packer, Matulino and Lawrence will be in the side. Huth should be in the side and Rochow is a dark horse who may have played himself in. I'd like to see JJ get a chance over Grant but he probably won't. Both McQueen and Sue aren't ready yet. Marshall must be on the bench. As for hooker maybe Taylor is the answer - certainly not MM, I'd have Godinet as DH before MM.
