''May 2001: Hewitt is fined US$1000 for calling chair umpire Andres Egli a "spastic" during a French Open fourth round match. Hewitt apologises, but declines an invitation from the Spastic Centre of Australia to visit one of its centres. "It's a great shame that having spasticity, which is one of the major conditions associated with having cerebral palsy, should be used in such a derogatory way," says Spastic Centre chief executive Rob White.''

This is a good one too

''September 2001: Hewitt is accused of racism during a match against African-American opponent James Blake at the US Open. Upset at twice being foot-faulted, Hewitt approached the umpire demanding the linesman in question - also an African-American - be changed. "Look at him", Hewitt said, gesturing first at Blake and then at the linesman, "look at him and you tell me what the similarity is". Hewitt insists there were no racial overtones in his outburst, escapes punishment and wins the tournament, beating Pete Sampras in the final.''

As someone who works with children with disabilities and who has a disability myself, the ''spastic'' comment was as low as they come. Then to decline the invitation to try and redeem himself and show that he stuffed up only made my opinion of him even lower.

Sorry mate , I didn't realize that and I apologize for pushing you on it

I understand where you are coming from now

Yeah me too, didn't know about any of that, either.

To be honest, GNR, both those incidents happened 13+ years ago. People make mistakes, and in my opinion, Hewitt has done more than enough to be forgiven for these heat in the moment misdemnours

Hardly worth hating Hewitt over his past :unamused: , i mean the bloke has passion, emotion and a will to win and at times has let his frustration get the better of him.

So do we continue to hate Willie Mason ?

I hate rain , I hate gutters that block up and I hate paying to have ceilings repaired

About a 4 metre by 1.5 metre piece of ceiling decided to fall out at work (fortunately in the kitchen ,above a prep bench )

Just a nightmare 5 people cleaning for 10 hours not making a cent

Yeah mate , about 8 k damage including 3 lekkies for 3 hours testing everything Leaks everywhere on bloody everything . Opened the back door and an inch of water all over the floors just drained out :brick: :brick: :brick: :bash :bawling :rant

6\. Johnathan Thurston is a very good player, but over rated. If he was really the best player in the world he would have got the cowboys into the top 4 on a regular basis given the squad he has. He is a highlight reel with loads of talent, but not a terrific week in, week out player.

Terrible summary of Thurston !! Incredibly dominant player at every level of the game !!Hate to see what you think of jarrod Hayne

I don't mind rain but 5 inches in about 90 minutes in pushing the friendship

I'd be happy if all the drought affected areas got 5 inches of steady rain

The farmers need it and deserve it
