Probably moving the WT's to Qld would be one of the most unpopular opinions I have

Tweed heads would be good though.
Lol

Na… They have a ready made home at Langlands Park. The NRL just need to wake up and re-brand Panthers as Western Sydney Panthers [Its in Gould's Business Plan & would give Happy great pleasure] and move the Tigers to Qld as the East Coast Tigers!

I don't know if this is unpopular, but I cannot believe it is not currently illegal to sell cosmetics that contain plastic microbeads.

Most people don't even realise, but 90% of the body scrub products that are sold (for face or body exfoliation) contain polyethylene microplastics, that do not quickly degrade and are not caught by conventional waste water filters.

People are scrubbing their faces and then pouring plastic into the water system, it's ridiculous and the mind boggles how it is still legal. The stuff is tiny and thus can be consumed all through the aquatic food chain, so it's coming back to us.

There is a movement to pressure cosmetics manufacturers to remove the plastic component (there are enviro-friendly alternatives that are perhaps not as good/cheap, like fruit or nut husks), but it is a slow movement. It has been banned in some locations like some US states and some European countries, but the phase-out is slow, as in will take a couple of years.

Why did they think this was ever acceptable in the first place? Would we allow Coke to slowly phase out their bottle processing systems if they were dumping PET into the ocean?

Stealing a rant from George Carlin

I don't understand national pride. Pride is something you feel for something you've achieved. Being born Australian or English, Chinese, Mexican, Indian etc isn't an achievement, its just genetic luck. Its like being proud of having green eyes and brown hair. Nothing with wrong with being thankful or happy to be the nationality you are, but it isn't something that you earn.

Bill Hicks had a similar rant:

"Are you proud to be an American?" I didn't have a lot to do with it! My parents screwed there, that's about all…. I was in the spirit realm at that time, trying to tell them "root in Paris! root in Paris!" but they couldn't hear me, 'cause I didn't have a mouth! I was a spirit without lungs or a mouth, or vocal cords. They rooted here.

In fact, that's how we can stop patriotism. Instead of puttin' stars and stripes on our flag, we should put pictures of our parents rooting! Gather people 'round that flag, and see your dad hunched over your mom's big 4x4 butt, see if any boot 'n rally mentality can circle around that little image...

I hate potato.
One of the most flavourless, boring, stupid vegetables ever.
Can't stand it.
Can't stand mashed potato.
Stuff is gross.

I like chips like kettles and red rock deli but no go on the potato.

You sound like:Mark Carroll.

Well there is a personal experience that tells me he is a nob, but besides that I just can't stand him on court. 2 games into a possible 5 set match and he's screaming "come on" and everytime he does it it's aimed at his entourage with this ridiculous look on his face.

I find him so annoying that it transcends on to his entourage. Everyone in his group I just want to face slap

Im with you on this one. I have always found him incredibly grating although he has grown on me a little with age. Not sure If I admire him for keeping on despite being very average for 5 years or think he is a little crazy for continuing to persist.

Don't know if this will be popular or unpopular. But Lleyton Hewitt is just a peanut

Why do you think so, ks?

Does the question really need to be asked? Been in the top 3 as far as biggest tools in Australian sport for nearly 15 yrs.

You do what you can to get yourself fired up ,and he is trying to do the best he can for himself ,family and on occasion this country He uses a particular comment from a scene from Rocky 2

He dropped everything to help young Lleyton , the young kid who supported the WT's who was doing it tough and our own players did the same after a particular game

I can understand why some mightn't like him , but he has every right to do the best for himself and use whatever means to do so

He still thinks he can match it with the big names , good on him for never giving up

I wouldn't mind if every WT's player had his ticker every match What happened in Townsville wouldn't happen that's for sure
