Your unpopular opinions.

Speaking of Fitzy, im reminded of a gripe i have with what the Back Page has turned into. It was a top show when it was Mike Gibson, Billy, Fitzy and usually a rotating 4 panelist. Its turned into a sports version of the Panel (which was a show i liked), utter crap. Way to ruin an awesome show.

Kind of like how Waleed Aly has gone on a one man wrecking band on the project.

I actually like the new back page panel and layout. It combines humour with a pretty insightful view of all sports pretty well. I had nothing against the older version either though.

Waleed is a pretty funny bloke actually; then again the whole project panel is pretty funny.

Both are good, well thought out shows IMO

Another one, probably not that unpopular, but i don't watch tv or listen to the radio, particularly not news type shows, albeit serious or satire. Only watch tv to watch whatever sport is on, other than that i don't care for it. Haven't listened to the radio for yrs either. Can't stand FM DJ's, and 99% of the music is crap, and as for AM, i've never been much of a talk radio fan.

My list of unpopular opinions:

1\. Many players purposely lose games

2\. Soccer will be the biggest sport in Australia in 50 years

3\. Benji Marshall was overated

4\. Melbourne has a better lifestyle than Sydney

5\. Betting Agency ads should be illegal

We threw the Round 26 game v Penrith in 2005 to get in a favourable position to win the premiership

Australia will be invaded and overrun within 150 years for its natural resources and because of global warming effects

Waleed Aly has shown time and time again he thinks he has a given right to crap on Australia thru his paper articles. He at times shows zero respect for his adopted country. You see Tony its a very long way from his Mother country of Egypt and the 110 countries in between(including all his muslim brothers and cousins bro) said to his parents "get stuffed we arent having your sorry ass" he chooses to crap on the one country that did take him and his parents in.

You may be able to look past this and call the guy funny and a legend but sadly I can never look past his disgusting racist and xenophobic notions he has on Australia.

Sorry to burst your bubble hobbo but in a country that has over 200 nationalities that live here in relative harmony its the ones that Hadley criticizes that are xenophobic aka the ones who have made no attempt to assimilate.Call him a wanker sure fine he is but the message he spreads is real.

What's that got to do with him being a tosser ?

Hadley wouldn't know what was the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the bum. Like most of his shock jock mates ,he only says what he knows will polarise opinions , and only cares about ratings.

Aah Gold Coast welcome back habibi(friend if you dont know what that means). Those that feel he polarises are those that struggle to live in Australia(a nation that has over 200 nationalities living in relative harmony). What Im trying to say is those that are too damn arrogant to accept another culture due to their own retarded, racist ways are the ones who scream Hadley polarises.

Its just that they need top get over their own racist ways. Its ironic that Hadley is loved by so many in the land of many cultures but his haters(and I mean real hate like would kill him tomorrow if they could)come from a land far far away where if you dont follow their culture and accidentally fart in public you are beheaded.

Australia has halal for eg.Ok fair enough its a muslims belief(but its not fair the Australian tax payer has to foot the amazingly large bill for its certification of products). How would me and my countrymen(AUSSIES) go In Saudi Arabia demanding all our meals were non-Halal As it was against our Beliefs.Oh and Saudi Arabia you foot the bill and not one word of whinging or I will sue you for racism in the court of law and call your shock jock a polarising insensitive grub.

1.Many players purposely lose games? No way Id agree with that not in this country anyhow? But yes it does happen when criminals can influence mentally fragile people.

2.I agree.Probably in about 30 years.

3.Benji was overated but certainly not in 2005 :sign:

4.I feel the cold weather eats into the "lifestyle".

5.I agree with you 1000%

Maybe we need a keep it all in here Islam thread on the forum? It would provide a place for the fireman and arsonist to vent without bothering others.

Islam is just as mighty as any other religion there is(Im an atheist).Im a non believer but whatever floats your boat. But at the moment there is an obvious struggle within Islam as the religion is getting hijacked by thugs etc.My view is that religious people believe in 1 god and fight wars denouncing the other 999 gods well I say the 1000th god is a dud too.But religion has a way of making a lot of people especially in the 3rd world(Asia,South America) better people so I respect it if it makes people better people.

Perhaps we also need to have a Keep it all in here "Gazza the disgruntled ex employee and angry man after 10 years" so all self diagnosed psychologists can vent on there to hep with their own inadequacies.

PS Im starting to think a fireman and arsonist/stalker might be a better term

The Defence forces are an expensive boondoggle, thinly veiled as essential whose primary purpose is to provide employment, pageantry and a feeling of being 'protected'

I'm surely not the only person who thinks this?

On the defense force, the term ''they serve to protect our country'' is something i have trouble understanding when the majority of fighting they do are in other countries.

I would like to see Australia adopt a pacifist constitution where we only protect our own backyard when it is under threat. Running off into sovereign nations and killing civilians (obviously not intentionally,) is something our armed forces should be engaging in. Iraq is very much a poster child as to why the West should not get involved in the Middle East.

I watch a bit of TV, usually it's on Fox Sports, the Comedy Channel or one of the documentary channels (usually Discovery Science.)

With you on FM radio, it's rubbish. Same five songs being pumped out day in, day out. Metallica have released what, a dozen albums? And Triple M only ever manage to play the same half dozen songs every day. The pop stations are worse. I do listen to talkback, usually ABC 702, and 2KY/2SM for the sports shows.

I appreciate your stance and it comes from a humane root but I think IRAQ was a battle in a much bigger war.Now the Arab countries are starting to see the pure evil that is these death cults that have infected their religion and way of life.More and More now We are seeing arab countries saying dont worry USA this is our problem and we will/want to smash these people off the face of the planet.Jordan,Iraq,Egypt, qatar and Bahrain to name a few.

PS the military model you are referring to that you would like for us to adopt is one that Japan has had since the end of WW2 Thanks to the my friends the west(but not yours it seems). The pacifist way of the Japanese certainly didnt help those Japanese that were beheaded the other night did it.

Its a shame japan a country so civilized and peaceful had to feel the brunt of this scum.

I've adjusted the quoting on a number of posts just so people don't get dizzy trying to make sense of it. Unfortunately you can only embed 4 quotes within a post so you may need to track back to make sense of some of these posts.

Cheers.
