Whether people love or hate Fifita, Sheens thinking Groat had more potential was one of THE worst decisions in rugby league history.

Groat played one more NRL game and was out of his depth massively in state cup....Fifita went on to be MOTM in Origin and best player in a GF.

A truly bad decision.

Not forgetting how good people rate Fifita - personally I am glad he went.

Just don't like him.

Don’t be silly... you were happy with Groat instead?

Did I say that????????

Don't put words in peoples posts.

I didn't want him - didn't say I wanted anyone else. Did I?

Please show me where I said I was happy with Groat.

Make it stop. A lack of intelligence masquerading as charisma. There are some people whose opinion does not need to be sought. I wish the interviewer could "go back into time" and erase this interview.

it is so easy to be Monday night quarterback :white_frowning_face:
His endless sideways running, with one good game on an occasional blue moon, was disappointing!
On top of that, he felt like an outsider, and complained that the older players: Farah, Ryan, Marshall, Lawrence, Payton etc. don't accept him!
So he left, good luck to him.

WTs did well to recruit him ahead of the Sharks from Griffith. Why were the brothers in Griffith and not Western Sydney? Probably has a lot to do with why he is at the Sharks and not WTs. I liked him and was disappointed he went but there is so much to like about Clark and Twal as cornerstones for our future team that articles like this just remind us of how far the club has moved in terms of having a team of team players.

You just know when he retires he’s the type who will put on 30-40 kgs. When he no longer has to train like a professional athlete, that cord is gonna rip.

Did you see the question mark? Sheesh...

@pawsandclaws1 he's not welcome in Griffiths anymore.

Got a friend who's from there and is a local footy legend and he told me they were run out of town.

They moved there in the first place to avoid trouble with the police in Western Sydney.

Fifita is periodically a great footballer, sometimes a match-winner, often in some trouble and always a loose cannon.

He did what Sharks needed him to do, I'm not sure if he'll ever regain that form for them again. Basically 3 top years for Sharks = 1 contract; Woods did the same for Tigers and is now on the downward arc.

The disappointing part is no matter how much of a loose cannon Fifita was, Sheens traded him too readily because he thought he had a better option, i.e. it was our choice and a poor one. But I'm not going to cry over it in 2019 - 2016 yes, but that's the past now.

going through a period at this club where we seemed to attract bad headlines, fifita's off field behavior would have been absolutely rancid for the club....regardless of how good a footballer he is, these day's it's not just about how you go on pitch....to be fair with his indiscretions he shouldn't be playing, and to publicly support the one punch mutt is something completely unfathomable in my opinion.
