It seems Clearly is interested in Zac Santo as a ready made replacement for Teddy. Thoughts on this guy?

Well signing the 2016 NSW Intrust Super Premiership hooker of the year proved to be a good decision. I think we would have the money to buy someone of higher quality than Santo however.

Gordon is still pretty quick. And he has been playing OK for the Roosters. He would be 30 or 31 years old wouldn't he?
If there are no proven quality players to sign as our fullback then I would prefer to have someone who has proven themselves to be a solid player over someone who is an unknown TBH.

Gordon turns 34 this year.

This is just sad, it's the only downside to this whole saga.. Needing to replace Teddy. It doesn't matter who we get, they won't be anywhere near as good. Thinking of essentially swapping Gordon for Tedesco makes me sick..

You know exactly what you would be getting with an old hand like Gordon. A solid dependable goal kicking fullback. I think he'd be a really good pickup for at least a season, even at 34/35\. Low cost and, if he doesn't retire at the end of 2017, he'll certainly be looking for a new home. If we have to wait for the next top class No 1, that might be the way to go. Love to see Latrell join us but can't imagine why the Chooks would ever willingly let him go. Watson would be good too but the Chooks seem intent on him seeing out his contract.
