I’ve never identified with music influencing my personality or mood. Whenever I listen to Slipknot, my wife says the music makes her angry. I’m numb to it making me feel any way.

I feel that same. If I put on anything heavy she is always banging on about it being so angry and makes her feel bad. I’m like it’s just music, enjoy it for what it is. She use to love heavy stuff 22 years ago when we first met and would complain if I put on hip hop.

It’s grown on my wife. To the point I have taken her to see Slipknot twice and we can drive around with metal as loud as I want it.

I can honestly say that any music i have liked from the age of being a young teenager to a man who is 69 next week i still enjoy immensely and the louder the better.I am still always looking for good music to listen to,even now there is excellent stuff coming from the most unlikely of places

Just about all music over the last 60 years except for that garbage rap/hiphop.For about the last 5-6 years the music out of Japan is sensational especially if you like all forms of rock.I can highly recommend Band Maid for rock Lovebites for metal and Wagakki Band for fusion Japanese western rock.Don't be fooled by 2 of the bands being all female the quality of the performers is superb.Avoid baby metal as they are the worst aspects of Japanese music as it is very contrived.

1.Holy War - Lovebites
2 Onset- Band Maid
3.Homura/Akatsuki no Ito - Wagakki Band.
All 3 are live performances and they show their talents admirably
