I liked that he kept moving forward spinning and ducking and didn’t give up on the play when he had the ball in his hands.

Haven't at all given up on Jake Simpkin, but I can honestly say from the limited time I've seen him and Rua play - I've been more impressed with Rua.

Unless I've missed it, I've heard no hype about this guy. Very under the radar.

They are both ahead of Liddle.
He needs the punt big time.

Yes it was only a trial, but plenty of positives from tonight.

I liked the agression in defence, particularly when Roosters were trying to work out of their half. Goal line D and decision making is still a work in progress.

Hastings looked impressive and is a competitor. Good signs with the ball for Gildart and To'a looked electric in short minutes. Roberts looked ok, but wouldn't mind seeing To'a push for the right centre position.

Musgrove and Seyfarth had good punch and aggression from the bench and Luciano was best on ground.

Sign Rua up Sheensy! Only raw....but he has got 1st grade written all over him in the coming years!

Rua just demonstrated how you bang down the door as a junior. Was aggressive in decision making and more than held his own physically, deserves the last top 30 spot imo.
Hastings was great in all aspects, I thought gildart and peachy were solid too.
No doubt plenty to work on, and 2nd row is still very thin but there's real signs of life in this squad
