I have heard players say they are usually accurate

I have had the club (Tigers) tell me they are usually wildly inaccurate. Their comment was "unless you hear it publicly directly from us or from the player, assume it's not true, because it usually isn't".

That’s another thing that’s funny about it. Woods signed under the assumption that the other two would follow. He was left like a shag on a rock.

Regarding the post below about some rumbling in the club.
Scott Woodward handed in his own resignation last week to the Tigers. He came from the Storm system, and has been with us since 2019. He has instrumentally played hardball in turning recruitment policy around and not allowing to pay overs for players in desperate times. It has taken him 3 years to turn our cap into a positive, he has been a miracle maker.
He put forward from the beginning of his tenure, that his data analytics of each player in the NRL, NSW Cup, JFlegg, SG Ball, H Matt’s is what you recruit from, and the worth every player is, is based on their data. He has been holding the club accountable over the years to not go against this. The moneyball approach I call it. When the club has been desperate to recruit, Scott will at times say no, as it doesn’t match up to his mathematical data analytics. He has taken the hard approach and has won us great things in the background (salary cap fixed for one)

He spends 80 hours a week watching every game for all clubs as above, and produces data- that’s massive!!!!

At a few games, he has called the game to me. With his knowledge of analysis, he would tell me that through data, a try should happen within the next 4 minutes because of what happened previously. Unbelievable!! He was correct.

He was not pushed out of the club. It was his choice to move on.

He is a great friend of mine and we see each other weekly. He will be sorely missed at the club, he is a very clever cookie.

At the other end of the scale teams like the Wests Tigers have to pay way ‘overs’. They have Luke Brooks on $900,000 yet we suggest he’s worth more like $550,000. James Tamou is on close to $800,000 but is no longer in that big-money league.

I'd be disgusted if Tamou is on $800k.

He is worth much more than that going by last year's efforts. Bathrobe models don't come cheap.

Bit harsh on him IMO, he was one of our best (if not the best) last season while he was playing 5/8. I think the onus is more on Brooks myself, if he doesn't play well this season I'd be moving him on, Hastings to 7 and Douiehi to 6. Douiehi upheld his side of the bargain.last year with his performances.

Some bloke gives his mate a wrap. It's pretty easy to manage your cap when all you recruit is blokes that have barely played 1st grade.

Obviously Slothfield is priming for when the Sharks lose Nikora or Pele - we have x amount in y players thats how the Tigers can do it.

Despite the fact we have been doing excellent cap management over the last 2-3yrs to position ourselves to make a splash over the next 2-3yrs in a big way whilst being in a great position to rival others offers for the very good young talent coming through

For years not signing expensive free agents was our problem, now we are the problem is we're paying overs. I really try not to believe in bias among the media, refs, comp or whatever - 99 times out of 100 it's just fans moaning. But with Rothfield it's just vindictive. I wonder whether he reckons the first team kicked out of Sydney is inevitably going to be the Sharks or Tigers and he's therefore made it his life's mission to make sure it's us. He should have been sacked over the Eddie Hayson stuff, how he still has a job let alone any credibility in the game is beyond me.

I would have taken him back over Tamou, he did burn some bridges but i think that was more through stupidity than malice. I can understand the club wanting to move forward though and that was probably the best case for us. His career went backwards fast after he left, he obviously realised just a little too late.

I'm glad he didn't come back. What he, Moses and Tedesco planned with the Bulldogs was low. And to look for a return at the end of his career was weak. Newsflash: if you'd stayed instead of dogging it, you wouldn't

Westfield Sports High and Guildford junior. I read the Manly forum and one poster indicating his link to Wayne Lambkin at Westfields Sports High and Sheens' high regard for Lambkin had much to do with it. We seem to be assembling quality young props.

Why would he leave Manly on a NRL contract to join the Wests Tigers on a reserve grade contract, if he is coming it's for a NRL contract. If he comes here it's to have a crack at NRL playing time and he will give Mikale and others a run for their money that's for sure.

If true not a bad pickup, junior reps, prop, 20-21yrs old could become a good rotation partner with big Stef

Has another sniff of Sheens/Wayne Lambkin partnership all over it if it happens.
