Preaching to the choir here.

Logen is a genuine fullback with a huge skillset.

I like Laurie but he's hype.
He can do a job but he's no Will Kennedy.
 
It was not that bad plenty of good signs they are close to being a solid team just need a strike player and when Adam comes back will add plenty of strike but he's not top tier better than last year
 
Trouble in the second row and centres. Yes the 11 and 12 were OK in attack, but defence not great. Also Kelma butchered at least one try running hard when he needed to draw and pass.

You have issues when Jimmy the jet 2.0 looks like your safest edge player.

Dillon has a higher IQ for the role.
 
Hastings was ok but needs to dominate more instead of leaving it to Brooks who just has not got it. Laurie was average. Toa needs to replace Gildart. Peachy was good. The forwards were good.

He saw that our middle was slow to react after a quick play the ball and there was space back in behind the ruck .
That looks coached to me .
He was doing it way more after half time .
Especially when Simpkin looked gassed . That’s on Madge IMO . He should have taken him off 5 minutes earlier . There was a set prior to that where Simpkin was barely involved .
 
Everyone goes on about Laurie, but if you lined up every fullback in the game and had your pick of any of them, you’d take at least 10 of them before you’d take him. I just don’t see what he does that excites people. Never have.

This is what I noticed in the trial.

Seems more concerned with making Brooks look good.

Eyes aren't on the prize.

Going to be a troubling year.

Exactly.

He's flashy at times but his skillset for #1 is very limited.
