Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I would keep Tommy.
The kid is only 21 and could become a quality utility player for us which every squad needs.
Kei/Roberts will probably be gone and well Gildart might be lucky to run out the year if he doesn't improve on defense. AJ is having a bad injury run as well.
I'd be giving him a new deal for sure. One positive for the club is he'll come extra cheap because of his injury

Yes aplenty he has had the 4 jabs.

Seems to be a lot of talk about JT and the cows not getting alone.
we are in need of a big game player and he would fit the bill plus we have money spare..
IF he was on 1mil a season but we could pick him up for 800k i would not be saying no.

Not a bad idea but I think $800k is too much freight. $650-700k seems a fairer proposition to me.

Tommy Talau - This is a sad story. Talau is unlikely to play this season after suffering a ruptured ACL last September. The damage was worse than an average torn ACL, meaning he‘s unlikely to see any football in 2022. He is banking on trust from the Tigers to earn a new deal.

He hasn’t shown us enough on the field to re-sign him. His only hope is that he has impressed them off it.

While I agree its fairer I doubt Cowboys would offload him if we or any club only was willing to pay that much we would probably have to take on at least 90% of his contract if we’re able to have a chance of signing him
Yeah fair enough. That’s where I would say thanks, but no thanks.

I’d sign him on again, future gun for sure.

If you seen current photos of him, he is looking quite big - could be a future 13.

If we’re not going to keep him, we should have got rid of him before when Melbourne were chasing him.

The two guys i would be trying to purchase from cronulla are jesse colquohoun and jack williams, Firstly williams is injured and will find it hard to get back into the cronulla side with mcinness, graham, hunt, nikora etc....... has very good leg speed and is super fit. i think hes 26-27. the next is colquhoun, reports are he's the next big thing out of cronulla and he was on the bench for newtown on saturday, both have what we dont in regards to forwards, leg speed which gives you options in how you play. Williams is on 175,000 currently, colquhoun is on nothing, go in hard sheensy, make a statement, Then go and buy berrel aswell, who has a proper attacking game out of dummy half and is a way better option atm than liddle and simpkin. GO IN HARD
Jesse Colquhoun is an ex Edmund Rice College Wollongong footballer. That is a pretty impressive name in Wollongong as Don Colquhoun was involved with the Steelers. I wonder if he is related? Don's brother attended Edmund Rice College.
