Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence

With all this rain. I cant imagine too much is getting done.
if the old rule for tradies is still in play (get a couple rain drops on your ciggy paper it was stop work and head to the pub).
Hopefully they've done enough to our building that they can just work on fitting out the inside now that the main frame and roof is up.
And it's good the pitch isn't down yet as it would be flooded and start again from scratch

BB is it the plan for us to use it as our main training ground?

It would basically be our only training ground, save for preseason trips and the odd session at a suburban ground the day before a match there.

The entire club will be based here. We'll ship in juniors in buses etc to give them access to the facilities

Nowhere to sink one, Pine Inn is closed, the whole block has been bought by state Gov for the new metro .. COE is still a puddle

Now we're talking, it will also help with recruiting and pathways. 👍

Not so much anymore. A lot of tradies are subbies now and if they don't work, they don't get paid. They're probably aching to get in there so they can earn.

As part of the NSW Govt $5b spend in western Sydney there is expected to be funding for an upgrade to Campbelltown Stadium and a possible community based Centre of Excellence.
It's due to go before the Govt budget committee later this month.

30K stadium. If this is anywhere on Wests radar as a future permanent venue, they should be teaming up with Macarthur Bulls and petition for this upgrade. Prior to CumBank stadium renovations, it was only a place where Parra and the Wanderers played. Don't see why Wests and the Bulls couldn't do the same.

Any updated photos of the COE ?
Would have to be in the final stages by now - Live interstate so don't drive past

Slowed down because of the weather, no offical handover date as i understand. The whole block has been brought off by state gov from burton street down for the new nth burwood metro line..the awnings on the corner everythings going..next few years we're rolling ..

We might need more than two centres of excellence to make us excellent

It's rained for about a month straight, I thought the roof was done and they'd be able to work on the inside. But maybe not? Haven't seen it for a month or two
