I like Gordy as a player as he was a beserker you let loose and played through the trail of carnage he created. As a commentator on the game though, he is as remedial as it gets. Total moron.

Listen to Roy & HG or the continuous call team.
You would think with all the money thrown at the NRL by 9 and Fox that they would be able to get awesome commentators.
The best of the bad bunch for me is Warren Smith.
Foxtel recently announced that ratings have sky rocketed through the roof so I doubt we'll see new commentators for a while.
Get some new blood like a Phil "Buzz” Rothfield and Geoff Toovey combo 🤣🤡🤪, one can't talk and the other one would fall asleep, no difference to what we have now is there?

Unfortunately I think Keary is one head knock away from retirement. I love those little guys that play like that but it's not very good for them.

Switched to 9. Can't listen to Ennis

I barely listen to any commentary these days. It’s all crap no matter what channel you watch. The only commentators I can listen to are Smith, Voss and Brandy. I know Voss isn’t everyone‘s cup of tea, and I can see what makes him unlikable, and even I have had fleeting times where he‘s got on my nerves, but overall he’s alright. Have seen him interviewed lots of times and always comes across as a good guy.

I cannot stand Ginane. Idk why, I can’t explain it, but he’s just over the top in an almost cartoonish way. Everything about Ennis is fake. Might sound stupid, but just pay attention to him the next time you hear him. The way he amps himself up is so fake. It’s like he’s trying to play the role of an excited commentator. When it’s those two with Blocker, just kill me.

I think Slothfield would make a great commentator just make sure he has a full case of beer to drink during the game and put him with blocker as co-commentator.You can guarantee at some stage the garbage coming from Slothfield would be shut down,off course you would need a camera in the commentary booth to see the action
