Junior Reps 2022

Sadly another two poor results with Balmain going down to theRoosters in Matts and Ball.
In Matts Balmain was leading 12-6 after 27 mins. They conceded 2 tries in the 3 mins to half time and then another a minute into the second half to suddenly be down 24-12.
Our teams just seem to crumble under pressure. The Wests Matts side the only current exclusion.

Balmain lost 12-6 in Ball. Again Hill was moved from fullback to wing for some bizarre reason. Delle is not a fullback. The coach it's very weak, but the squad is weak.

It's just sad that for a club supposedly focusing on developing juniors that are teams suck, year after year. Neither Balmain or Wests have had a strong squad in years, we simply don't recruit well enough. How many kids do we bring to Sydney from the country or from NZ? We need to be far more proactive

I had really high hopes for both Wests sides this year. Harold Matthews are doing the job, but the SG Ball boys have been disappointing. I expected them to be somewhere towards the top of the ladder.

You look at the Manly junior squads for example, and they seem to have a full team of guns in both sides and consistently feature up the top of the competition.

I guess with this being the first main year of our Pathways push with Sheens and co, we hope there is a lot going on behind the scenes to make us more successful and have a plethora of gun juniors coming through. Let's hope for a change and more dominance in these sides moving forward.

Maybe it’s time just to have wests tigers Sg ball and Harold Matthews
Not so sure. They are still kids at School. I feel it’s better for them to play and train in their local community. The ages for each comp might drop down a year again next year which will be 16s and 18s.
Flegg seems the right time to merge. Hopefully we do get to a point in our junior development where our Flegg team is a combination of the best of the two junior clubs.
