I was just simply asking who your source is but you haven't provided me with one. And yes i know Kelma turned his back on the tiges after the first offer, I never said he didn't and I'm not trying to defend him. He clearly wanted to leave the Tigers as he didn't even bother telling Madge or trying to negotiate a deal further before signing with Manly. I just wanted to inform the fans on here that the initially reported figure of 500k was incorrect.

Didn’t mean to come off disingenuous but that figure I’m fairly sure came directly from the others spruiking these rumours, which no doubt also impeded us!
Possible that it’s slightly lower than 385 too… at this stage the ink is just barely dry

he actually signed for 1mil duh, us tigers fans exaggerate everything so we feel better, it's just science. He's been told he will get a starting edge spot if he trains hard, 250k I think not. my theory as a certified nut job is that you are in fact kelma!

If the $$ are even close to true,he shld take the $500k and run...but defending it will be a challenge...as defence is his problem,and Des has no tolerance in that area
If I was Madge he wldnt command a run on spot unless theres injuries as hes no better than other forwards (Seyfarth)who are committed to WTS.Thats the way it works at most clubs(ie well managed clubs)

Yeah all good mate. That's my bad for thinking it was you that reported the 500k figure I just got confused because I know a few of the other blokes on here were saying it. It's probably around 350-400k in reality as 250k seemed a little low but that's just what I heard so wanted to share it with you guys.

Yep, around 250k is what I was told. Go check the Kelma Tuilagi thread on silvertails if you want to see for yourself. Maybe he was just really keen to leave the Tigers considering those reports he fell out with a few of the players. Also the 3 year deal gives him security.

All good....I actually deleted my post because I thought it read aggressively and you had already addressed it.
Its pretty typical when a player changes clubs, the fans at the new club claim he is on peanuts and fans at the old club claim its crazy money.
I have no info but it doesnt seem sensible that Kelma would sign there for 3 years at $250K
Yeah no worries mate. Yeah you are right about that the only reason I believe him though is because he's really tight with some guys at the club and has never been wrong when it comes to rumoured signings and negotiations. It does seem a little low to me though as I said before. You'd think he would only sign a deal on that kind of money for a year or maybe two and then try to. get a big upgrade if he continues to play well throughout that first contract.

Maybe there is a reason why we are letting all our second row stock go.
Really, If you look at our SR stock compared to the top teams. The only reason I can think we haven't made any changes this year is noone wanted to come here or nothing available this year.
Luciano, kemla garner like to give the impression they are quality but fold under pressure from the big boys.
Perhaps it was a strategic move to wait for next year.
If we can pick up some high quality long term next year may be a good move.
But goes to show more pain this year highly likely.

Yep, I needed a break as the disastrous floods badly effecting @Cobarcats and the Ukraine/Russia atrocities were getting me down.
I just felt so frustrated by not being able to help in any way.

He apparently signed just before Christmas. You make it sound like he signed on November 1 and never gave us a chance which simply isn't true

I read the manly's forum topic also the day it was posted about signing him and zorba the greek saying it was a done deal on radio, but I'm not overly confident that what they say is always correct as it is on any Forum.
I doubt the low ball offer is right unless it's officially disclosed.

I know we've been linked with Nani a bit. Had a close watch yesterday and wasn't very impressed besides one nice bomb-take and try. I know he has a big rep, but is he really better than Kelma? Ten missed tackles is horrid.
Arguably his worst game in first grade by a good margin last night. Watch him in the game the week before and he was very good. Only 19 as well, he's a talent.
