What an embarrassment.
No it doesn't. Pascoe has an opinion but it's the board's decision who to keep as coach. In fact as far as I can tell, Pascoe is as removed from Football Operations as he has ever been - little to no day-
In fairness Magpies I was probably venting some frustration at Maguire but I do believe we need to go outside the box for our next coach. The really good coaches simply won't come. The run-of-the-mill coaches will but they are not the answer for us. We have picked a succession of these coaches and got nowhere for years.Have they both got the required level of coaching certificate @coivtny ?
And I think Madge's current assistant coach? would get the gig before Benji and Robbie.
So we DID win the toss and chose to run against the wind?

Robbie and Benji would bring something different. They know and love the club, they were both very good footballers and, being recently retired, they will relate to the players. They will also know who is worth persevering with and who needs to be let go. If they don't have the necessary qualifications they can get them and, in the meantime Sheens can be the 'nominal' head coach.
I don't believe either of our current assistants are remotely close to being NRL head coach candidates. If I was picking our next coach I would pick Flanagan in a heartbeat and not think twice about it or apologise for doing it. But I accept his 'past' is not his biggest advantag

How come your still posting?Typical chairman and ceo mentality all about themselves not the club performance.
The 8 other teams have all played finals football more recently than usU guys realise 8 other teams lost too and are complaining on the internet looking foolish just the same as we are.

Flanagan is everything we need .. everything ,, the Sharks team he took to the grand final played tough smart committed footy week in week out, he knows the game backwards and is an excellent man manager … I’d love for him to coach us , he’ll Id beg him if I had to , me personally if that is what would do itIn fairness Magpies I was probably venting some frustration at Maguire but I do believe we need to go outside the box for our next coach. Yep. At least if Madge goes and some other poor soul takes over, we might have an excuse for being terrible.I keep hearing “who do you replace Maguire with”. Over the past 3 and a little bit years I have seen a decline in our performances each year. His winning percentage is around 35% in this period.
The obvious answer to “who do you replace him with” is - anybody.
Mate I've been thinking of this photo and seething all morning about it.
You are looking at one game in isolation. People aren't whinging here over one game, or 1 year or even 3 years.U guys realise 8 other teams lost too and are complaining on the internet looking foolish just the same as we are.

Most of those losing teams would have at least showed some effort and personal pride. That's the massive difference as far as I'm concerned.U guys realise 8 other teams lost too and are complaining on the internet looking foolish just the same as we are.
