When do we get our first win??

When I first saw our early draw, I thought our best chance was our first 3 weeks. Understrength Storm and Newcastle and Warriors who were about par with us coming into the season. Next 3 games Titans, Sharks and Parra. 0-5 is a definite possibility. Still not prepared to say the spoon is ours though. Only have to beat one other team home.

Those teams will destroy us.
As they always do.

Tough times ahead.

Roosters did not win a game in 1966
Idk how familiar you are of the Magpies circa 98-99, but they were horrendous. 50 and 60 point floggings week in, week out. But even they pulled out the odd win. We’ll get a few. Probably somewhere between 5-8. Probably just enough to avoid the spoon, but entrenched in the bottom 4.

Realistically, round 8 against the Dragons is our next best chance for a win. A win against any team we play before then would be considered a massive upset.

I remember the Magpies in the late 90s and they were terrible but as you say won a few games,i also remember Newtown winning 2 games in either 1974/75.
Life is very tough for us supporters atm and it is unlikely to change much in my lifetime but my support will not change 1 iota even if everyone on here thinks i am crazy.

Looking at the draw and watching the last two games it’s hard to even imagine a win. I’ll be watching next week and will convince myself they could jag a win by kick off but I would start looking at the “Tigers first win market”

I remember those days. Utterly demoralised at the end of 99. I was full of hope with the Wests Tigers announcement and welcomed having to change my colours. Who knew we were in for the same drought of success with just a moment of 2005 glory to make it feel different? And here we are, hopes fading fast. I think we will win a couple of games we’re not expected to win. And lose the ones we are.

To this day, 2000 was one of my most enjoyable years of supporting this club. I was 13, and while I was a Magpie fan, I hadn’t been a supporter long enough to have any reservations about supporting a new club. I dived right in. And having supported a team that won about 7 games combined in 98-99, it was awesome following a competitive team who won a lot of games that year.

I was a long time Magpie supporter. We made the finals once in the late 80’s I think but I never felt like a winner until 2005. That was the best feeling. Sadly I haven’t felt much like that since.
