The terms clean out and rebuild are on a loop at this club and have been ever since Adam was a boy. We have had dozens of clean outs and every time we do, we replace them with more players that need to be cleaned out. I don’t think a Dogs style clean out where we replace duds with actual quality is coming any time soon. Yeah we got Pap and Api, but they will blend right in at this rate. I like Api, but he‘s not getting any younger.
 
He may be past it but he had a dig today and kept Best contained well and tackled his man even though on one leg.

Toa should get a start next week

Round 3 will tell us whether this year will be any different to previous years which is earlier than I would have thought
 
So Buzz is having another crack at Roberts for using his phone in the sheds. Rightly or wrongly it's like he has PI following the bloke around.
 
I thought he was amongst our best tonight. Unfortunately he seems to be targeted by the referees and gets penalised for nothing incidents

Mate,
We've never had a clean out... Ever.
They've probably used the term building or whatever -
They've just put band aid on after band aid.
This is as close as we've come..

The problem is, We're usually close enough (9th) that we always think just 1 or 2 more players...
Also, The fans AND the media would never let us blow it up and do it properly...

I agree, if they selectively developed that right side he plays on just like Souths developed their left side as their main attack, he is the man with the speed off the mark to break through any backline which we’ve seen him do many times at Souths. They’re not making him earn his money and his spot, he’ll bludge all day if they don’t force more work on to him. Like Gagai did for Johnson, he should be fed the ball as much as possible.
I think they’re basically wasting one of the their most important investments in the team, speed off the mark.
I look at it this way, in terms of what a player brings to a club and the fans, he brings only lightning speed off the mark, nothing else, that’s the real worth of the guy as I see it.
some players bring rock hard defence, some bring guile and ball skills, Tigers are a dogs dinner at times.
