Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not enough good FG players to go around and some teams under the rules of a fair salary cap monopolize them. When clubs have money to spend and are forced to spend cap on players that are overvalued while other teams get the best players for less not sure how fans expect a club in our position to compete. Blaming indivuduals for our situation just keeps supporting a system that favours some ahead of others.

Based off all season so far. I don't care if he's slow, he can actually kick a footy

Brooks was invisible the whole game, took a back seat to Madden. Finally started taking responsibility later on and he dropped the footy, kicked it dead then gave away the crucial penalty to get titans downfield

Brooks quite literally did nothing last night. He gets paid $800k+ a year and that's what he puts up? Disgraceful. Playing like a man who wants nothing to do with the club.

Blows my mind that you can be happy with what he put out there last night.
 
My solution..
  1. Move Brooks on as he has had plenty of opportunities - If we wait too long other clubs won't want him - If was had a top 7 last night we win that game and weather its confidence or skill its just time to move on
  2. Move Danie L to 6 until AD is back
  3. Hastings to 7
  4. Sign Drinkwater as fullback to see how he goes
  5. We need to add Starford To'a somewere in this team
  6. Drop Peachey as what he does is just not acceptable from a LEADER .. WTF
I know we lost last night but to go down after all that defending and going down to 12 men you just know its not our year.. I also think if we had AD and Hastings in the halves we win..

If the rumour's are true and we are after Nikora and Pala we need to upgrade this to URGENT on the To Do List before other clubs jump in and pounce.. Us fans needs something to smile about.

TBH I have been a Madge fan for a while now and still believe the players need to pull the finger out BUT I am starting to think a fresh face in here might actually help and help attract some players.. Our Defense last night was pretty good and lost off a bad bounce but the attack was terrible and maybe the coach is not helping in that area..

I think for everyone involved it is time for Brooks to move on. I have been in the "keep" camp, but think it is time, for him as much as us.
Daine was okay in the fullback spot last night. I would keep him there. I think Madden and Hastings are worth a shot. I like what Madden is showing so far.
I would target Savage from the Raiders, instead of Drinkwater. Pure speed and will be cheaper. Won't offer the versatility that Drinkwater would, but it would be nice to have a speed man again.
To'a should be somewhere in the team, just not sure where. I think our 1 to 5 were alright last night. I can see him being our 18th for a while, filling any of the back 5 as needed.
I wouldn't drop Peachey from the team, but I would like to see just Hastings as the captain when he is back from his suspension. Have a leader group, but just one captain, him.
