We gotta go all in on Munster and Thompson. Munster has something we lack and could turn our team around. Brooks fan but id drop him instantly for a Munster madden combo
 
We just need to get the Knights to take Luke paying full freight - then use that money to sign Ponga!🤣🤣

I am not against Brooks moving , however do not rate Thompson as the impact forward we need. I saw him at Leichhardt when we played Manly in the trial and he is not as big as I thought he would be.
I also would rather not help Canterbury have cap space to sign any of their future players. Imagine if Kikau, Mahoney or Sutton could not sign with them.

Brooks to Newcastle is Ok if they take all his contract.

That will do nothing but buy the players another 2-3 years of being able to use the excuse of getting settled in under a new coach. We need to offload our lazy players first and replace them with hard workers. Look at Aiden Tolman, he's used as a running joke by most fans but he still gets picked every week in a very strong Sharks pack. It's a fair bet to say he is a great trainer and committed to giving his all on game day. Those sort of players are worth more to a club than a super talented guy with a huge ego who only puts in when he feels like it.
 
A player is only as valuable as the market demands. I’d say despite what Brooks is getting paid no club is looking desperate for a starting halfback or 5/8. If injuries strike however, that could change.
The smart play would be to resign Madden for 2 years on an honest contract with the chance to upgrade end of 23.
At this stage no half is on contract In two years time.

I couldn't believe that Madden can actually find the turf when he kicks it. I'm used to the usual end over end rubbish straight down the fullbacks throat. Haven't been a huge fan Madden up to this point, but I was impressed with him last night. Hope he keeps it up.

Stephen was a pretty good winger and fullback for balmain in the 80's an became weststigers CEO.
He was at war with the board over factions from the joint venture between wests and balmain and left WT for manly
Do we really want him back??
