Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

???? Luciano is our biggest attacking threat.

Gildart needs to learn when to pass a bit earlier to his winger instead of jamming himself up against the sideline and trying to flick miracle balls. He creates opportunities, just can't capitalise on them.
The under-use of Seyfarth last night was criminal for sure.

When has he scored or given a try assist in an nrl game.

I have a high opinion of Morris. I like what he did with the Sharks' side when he took over at a difficult time and the club is reaping the benefits of his Pathways programme. I consider him to be a protégé of Sheens so they would be on the same page, much like Payten.
Indeed.

Seems relatiable and well spoken.
Would be good, prefer Morris over Payten.

I don't believe it matters who we sign unless there is a change of coach. With Sheens in situ the argument about disruption is non-existent. With Sheens in situ, there is the option of an experienced coach or, hiring a younger coach with Sheens providing a sounding board.

Look madge does well with the nz squad. But you do not have that luxury with the small clubs. Even at high level teams his attack is pretty boring

What's our strategy to have a top 4 squad to play madge ball up the middle, spread kick.

He does well with fitness and other stuff put attacking footy, team selections, game day footy is it really what wests tigers are about?

We have one of the best attacking coaches in nrl at the club and out strategy is to have boring attack at first grade it doesn't make sense

I hope the club are priorities are new coach and ceo.

Regarding our attack. They highlighted on radio last night, I think it might of been Benji on MMM that in lasts nights game we weren’t capitalising on the ruck speed. We would get a quick play the ball and play a settler, to organise for a shift in the next play. However by that time the ruck was slowed down and we had more defensive pressure on us.
Is this a game plan, coaching flaw or a confidence thing. One thing Hastings has done well in his first few games with us is, play with the tempo when the time allows for it.

I think so too. Clune has surprised and I dont think they are just blowing smoke. I really think they would consider other options now if required.
The swap that might end up may be straight Aiken for Barnett.
Clune has always been a good footballer from Wagga but attended the Illawarra Sports High. His progress was slower as I understand he was studying law. He is a good organising half.

Bad example using cricket lol.

Jason Holder was huge, but regardless of his size, he knew where to place the ball and swing the ball.

Unfortunately, our team has no skill, no inside out play since 2010.

But they love the wide play and going for a high kick.
Chris Holder was World Champ a couple of years ago.

Nothing will change until we get a good quality spine. Our 1, 7 and 9 are well below the quality of top sides like Manly, Roosters and Penrith. Api will fix our 9 problem next year but no idea where we go with the other positions at this stage. Laurie has been terrible so far this year and Brooks has been underwhelming to say the least.
