It's not our style. Gould knocked back the Bulldogs on their first approach too, but instead of accepting it they pursued their man and nailed him. NRL is a cut throat business that waits for nobody. Kill or be killed. We are deep in the latter territory.

Roosters don't have any Juniors that's why. Fitzy did get Hynes and Finucane due to his assistant coach work with NSW though

100%. Those who want our club run like the local accountancy practice just don’t get it, more hunger and ruthless intent is needed as an organisation. Football isn’t played or administered by nice guys.
Exactly. Look how shocking Wighton has been since Sezer and Williams left. When he was left without a 7 his game as a 6 was rubbish
I don't think it's because our staff are full of nice guys but I think that many of our upper echolon staff are quite lazy. Same as our current players.

Fat pay cheques and excuses
How we can’t have 30 first grade quality players on the roster at the start of rd 1 is beyond me. NRL pays for them. We don’t have the luxury of waiting for it to happen.

I'm not sure they're in that much of a better position than us.
Dogs have no salary cap to work with, a new coach will want to bring in players they like. The Dragons might be a bit more enticing but Griffin has brought in a lot dead wood they're stuck with.

CHT is a decent player with a good attitude but just like a lot of our signings, unknown what position he is best at
I think he's the perfect modern 14. Ala Connor Watson or Dylan Walker

Need to start asking the question, is he in the top eight halfbacks in the NRL or could he become one? My opinion is no.
