I saw him play round 1 v wests and he was close to the best player on the field in a beaten side. Never gave up and scored a great try.

My sources say the same thing. I think some of the posters on this thread are being bit harsh on our KOE despite the floggings with a number of last year Jersey Flegg players. They really have missed a lot of football over the past 2 seasons so in my opinion, it may take some time for them to adjust to KOE and if good enough NRL. Some will make it and some won't but we shouldn't be too quick to judge.

Not sure how someone like Scolari will come back for 2023 as he will potentially (unless he comes back this year mid-season) have missed almost 2.5 seasons so he will be an unknown. Other clubs are in the same boat though with Covid - I just think a lot of the younger ones coming through may need a bit more development time than they normally would before the clubs know whether they have any NRL players amongst them. Clearly our HM and SG Ball have talent - it's just that patience is wearing very thin on our NRL performance and most supporters are getting very frustrated and aren't willing to hang their hopes on our youngsters which could take another 2-3 years.

Not having a go at you specifically but there has been a lot of posters stating Brooks is going to our 7 and Madge will never drop him.

He has been moved from the 7 spot because we have a better option and he will get moved from the 6 spot if we have a better option.

The club wants to win games.

I would say Sheen's or Pascoe make this happen but they are in missing and not been seen for weeks now so not sure who could help...
It blows my mind how they can sit back like nothing is wrong as not even come out and update our members and fans.. As much as people don't like Gus at least he keeps fans updated

Saw Sheens at Henson Park watching the ressies last Saturday. Plenty of people were talking to him, no doubt asking similar things and he was obviously happy to talk to them.

He has lost the role of game managing halfback. The press directly from the players and the club previously was that Brooks was the halfback. Now Brooks and Hastings are both stating Hastings is running the team.

I reckon it's a massive change. It's not the number on their backs. It's the role that Brooks has now compared to previously. Sure you still expect him to set up and execute some attacking plays, defend on the edge and be utilized as one of our main kickers. Hastings will be the dominant player though. They've basically said Brooks can't continue in that role because he isn't good enough.

If this is true, we are in much worse position than I thought. Wasn't Luciana a vocal supporter of Madge and one of the reasons Madge was kept??? My God, if he, as one of our better players, wants to bail early, the Eels will put 50 on us on Monday.
