He will continue to get better....he is getting more confidence as he gets over the leg break he had last year....sometimes these things take awhile...He has earned a place in my heart for that tackle on Gutho the whinger.

What I don’t understand is the consistent lack of push around Lucy. The guy breaks through the line regularly and most of the time is on his own. I reckon Laurie would be better off following him and waiting for a ball through the lineReally? I thought that was one of the things he didn't do. He likes to chime in on backline plays but I never see him following forwards around the ruck and still didn't see that today.
He still has a long way to go but you can see he has the potential to go a long way.
I’ve never really considered this. I mean it was a broken leg, not a long term injury by any means but the way it happened was from him taking a tough run through the teeth. As you’ve been suggesting all along there is a psychological impact there I didn’t consider. It’s not as though it was a knee injury out of bad twist or anything he broke the lower part of his leg. Was it the Fibula or the Tibia? He will continue to get better....he is getting more confidence as he gets over the leg break he had last year....sometimes these things take awhile...
He is there, if you go back and watch the replays of the games when your not clinching onto every play you notice it.What I don’t understand is the consistent lack of push around Lucy. Yes this baffles me as an armchair coach, seems like a no brainer. Even that try Lucy scored first up, I was just shouting looking for the support player. What I don’t understand is the consistent lack of push around Lucy. I reckon your comment about clinching is spot on and a horrible side effect of being a Tigers supporterHe is there, if you go back and watch the replays of the games when your not clinching onto every play you notice it.
He did finish up 2nd to King Gutherson in supports last year so it’s not as though he doesn’t put himself in the picture, he just isn’t getting that pass or is heavily marked as was the case in Lucy’s try.
I usually watch every game twice. Funny enough the wins less so.I reckon your comment about clinching is spot on and a horrible side effect of being a Tigers supporter
If he’s not haring after every bomb now I’ll be disappointed. Those are the effort areas that are the difference in the NRL.Holds his spot on that performance..
I cant recall which part of the leg he broke, but I can tell you that I had several injuries during my career...It plays on your mind that for example Daine broke his leg and it was just a thing that happens during our great game, but as he runs and steps etc,in the back of your mind you are wary that it could happen at any time, during stepping, running or being tackled...I had to talk to my physio and coach to help me recover and protect whatever part of me was injured, its a confidence and mental thing that you have to get through yourself, its not always easy and it does play on your mind, particularly at NRL level with the speed and brute force its played at...I’ve never really considered this. Lock him up every week with the exercise machinesStill a lot to work on but much improved.
Straight from isolation to a big win.
What a feeling that must be.
He was probably very keen just to get outside.
Yep. No pokies just rowersLock him up every week with the exercise machines

I know what you mean, I’ve had my share of leg injuries through various sports. Thankfully he is a paid professional so he has every opportunity to recover both mentally and physically to perform at his best again.I cant recall which part of the leg he broke, but I can tell you that I had several injuries during my career...It plays on your mind that for example Daine broke his leg and it was just a thing that happens during our great game, but as he runs and steps etc,in the back of your mind you are wary that it could happen at any time, during stepping, running or being tackled...I had to talk to my physio and coach to help me recover and protect whatever part of me was injured, its a confidence and mental thing that you have to get through yourself, its not always easy and it does play on your mind, particularly at NRL level with the speed and brute force its played at...
He will come good the more he deals with it and builds his confidence...
He plays above his weight. His no Reece Walsh in terms of freakish skill but he isn’t void of it either.Still young and coming off an injury. I'm willing to cop a few off games here and there as he matures. A lot of upside to him. I think he may just be something special in the coming years.
