NRLW to get its first Transgender player next season -Updated

No, nothing to do with homosexuals or homophobia at all. You may be discussing such and conflating them with transgender persons, but I certainly am not.

Rather, that the loudest angry voices on transgender issues are more likely to be making such a fuss about it because of their desires and insecurities, than those that are not attacking them.
Lol sure buddy.

Doubling down.. Yet again you assume that those with an opinion different to yours have secret sexual desires.
How is this ok? If I was making wild claims of people being gay for liking Luke Brooks I'd be shown the ban hammer.
You can keep pushing "Those who scream loudest have the most to hide" all you want but you're completely missing the issue.

100%.
People like him do not allow others to have an opinion.
He also never debates the issue yet has the hide to call others full of rage? 🤣🤣🤣

I made a short comment of "this is just so wrong". I must be full of rage and homophobic according to him - oh well good luck thinking that way. I just think it's wrong but if the NRL allows it then I hope they've thought about it really well. Men genetically is stronger than women, end of story.

formerguest is one of the posters on the Forum I hold in high regard. Empathy is one of his strong qualities. Note he qualified his post by writing "loudest angry voices" so imo most of you do not fall within this category. Can we get back to discussing the topic please.

You are the one who has lost their cool and started attacking everyone. You seem upset.
Hahahahaha, as if. I note the fellow members of your cheer squad or wanna gangbangers again following each other around with their electronic pats on the back.

I suppose your pack has to have something to target and make each other feel bigger when you don’t have your normal target of @GNR4LIFE to aim at.

Edit: @4jtigers I don't know why you would think that my post was aimed at you, rather that men constantly angry on a subject very often do so because of their personal insecurities.

If anyone is suffering such, like so many that feel they cannot talk to family or others in their circle, I am available with a non-judgemental ear for them.

You’re doing a splendid job in GNR’s absence

Funny you mentioned GNR - I can't remember quite precisely but I made a comment years ago about this topic RE; transgender being in the Olympics competing in women's events - made a comment to this effect - they should have a Gay Olympics or Gay Games just like the Paralympics and I got shot down by GNR... a few of the posters corrected him but I never posted again for a while for fear of being labelled, I am not homophobic... I have friends who has children who's gay and I have gay work colleagues who I have lunch with all the time.

Anyway, again I just think it's wrong because men genetically are stronger than women... It wouldn't be a fair competition or fight if that happens but if they go ahead with it then all good, we move on.

You continue to not argue the issue and play the man rather than respond to the topic.
I am now a wannabe gangbanger because I don’t think it’s fair to let males compete against females in full contact sport? So I can add that to my list of being insecure about my own sexuality, a wannabe tough guy, an average bully and a rage projecting monster who is part of a concerted effort to attack GNR4LIFE.

Non judgemental indeed….

He hasnt qualified anything.
Cobarcats and I both stated we don’t think it’s fair as we have daughters and therefore this issue is close to home. A lot of other posters have agreed and added their own concerns.
We have cited precedent from other sports in other countries as an argument that the push for inclusiveness is trumping equality and basic fairness.
Female poster Lauren has agreed, even applauded what we have raised.
No one has said anything hateful.
No one has said anything bigoted towards the trans community, nor the wider LGBTQIA community.
No one is projecting insecurities, nor closeted opinions.
There is no gang mentality involved here.
Formerguest does not agree with what I said. That’s fine. Quite entitled to counter argue and debate the issues. He has failed to do so and just resorted to unprovoked personal attacks. The way he is expressing himself is not coming off as empathetic as you claimed, but rather he is angrily labelling me and others with no evidence or reason and has done so on multiple occasions.
He is doing the very thing he is accusing me of doing and has become the true ‘angry loudest voice’ in this discussion.

To say that those of us who have commented negatively on here with conviction have hidden desires and insecurities is so wrong and offensive.
Talk about the issue of debate and not about those who feel strongly about their opinion.
Your better than that.

I made comments earlier in this thread,I have no problem with people who have been born biological male or female to have the desire to crossover to the opposite sex,its their life and choice, however when sports were in my the early days, boys played boys games and girls played girls games eg football boys, netball girls...it was unheard of that either would play in their opposite sexes games...with the world how it is with all the differing ideaologies, such as LGBT,BLM,etc there are so many options for the youth and others to participate in,most of these were unheard of in my youth because of our upbringing and education..
Mum was a woman,Dad was a man,I played rugby,my friends sister played netball and thats the way it was...I had no desire to compete in a girls comp and my friends sister had no desire to play football....
So it brings me to the conclusion that if their has been a crossover of sexual preference then I would say that there should be comps for those that have crossed over to play in,therefore they play against their own transgendered persons...
Once again....there are only 2 genders male and female you are born either one and no amount of drugs operations will change your DNA,maybe looks with make up or wearing dresses may make them feel the way they want but it wont change what you were born with..
The simplest way I can put it is
A womans egg plus a mans sperm creates a life either a baby girl or a baby boy...
thats the way its always been....

Formerguest is one of the most empathetic posters on this forum. His statement was qualified and my only advice is be comfortable with who you are.

There are so few people that fall into that category that they wouldn't be able to form a comp, so they just end up getting excluded and missing out. Plus it would just leave them feeling ostracised and different (which they don't need any extra help with).
People who are actually transgender aren't just making a "choice" to become the opposite to their biological gender, that is the gender they genuinely feel they are and they feel like imposters in their gendered body. The "choice" they have is to live with that feeling or do something about it. To be included and welcomed by the gender they actually feel they are would be huge for them and what does it actually cost? Bugger all.
Sport has never been an entirely level playing field. There are 100kg kids playing against 45kg kids in some comps. There are kids who are naturally stacked with fast-twitch fibres and kids with bugger all. No matter how hard some kids work they are just ectomorphs who will never compete at the highest levels in strength-based sports. Genetics make a massive difference regardless of gender. At the competitive levels of sport sure, you put in restrictions on testosterone and other hormone levels in the same way that restrictions are placed on performance-enhancing drugs. The talk about increased muscle mass in men largely derives from hormones like testosterone. You take away the testosterone and they will not be buidling or maintaining muscle mass like men do - nothing like it.
Otherwise if a majority of women are happy to welcome transgender competitors into their competitions then good on them. Their choice, not mine.
