Kid is 20 years old and had 2 years with very little footy coz of Covid. He'll be just turned 24 (age of Harry Grant now) after learning from Api and playing off the bench at the end of Apis contract. In terms of his career and development, he's still a kid and if developed correctly will be our Hooker for a decade after Api leaves.
Hopgood is like the pre Jack Williams.
He'd be cheaper for sure but he's crap. Aiken is not an upgrade on Garner

Surely we're targeting an outside back to join us immediately given the shocking state of our backline yesterday?
That would depend on the Warriors, can certainly fit him in this year. 2 year deal starting in 2023 money wise is $300-$350k per year.
He hasn’t played many first grade games but has a lot of fight in him, like his effort plays etc. I just see him similar to how Jack Williams started to force his way into the Sharks starting side in 2018-2019. In saying that I think Jack Williams has peaked is the perfect Storm recruit and less ideal for us. Hopgood on the other hand has yet to force his way into the Panthers side and would the perfect player to add to mix in with our youth and add some fight to the pack.
Not much to choose from unfortunately. Really in need of outside depth but the right player isn't available right at the moment.

Aitken is very strong for his size. He runs the ball hard and we could have used him yesterday running into half gaps close to the try line.
After we sign him Tim will put stage 2 of his cunning plan into action,trying to make him a PROP even though that plan has failed 30 out of 30 times in the past.
Yeah, seems like a smart signing.

Sheens sees Aitken as a back-row option and possible centre incase of Injury runs good lines and strong in defence

Fair price for Aitken, doesn't block a premium option if one comes up. You can play him every week, no stress, which is more than you can say for half our signings.
