Laurie hasn't been that good. We need more options.

So there a quite a few options around and having money means we are in a strong position. Cash talks and the fact we are looking at players like Topine and Hopgood strengthens my belief the club's future will be assured by signing these players on the cusp of the NRL. Dykes as well seems an inspired selection.

So in summary from the past week of posts, our backrow targets are:
Angus Crichton
Aitken (if he comes back with reduced price)
Jackson Topine
Faitala Mariner
Proctor
Doorey
Any others???
God I hope we don't resort to taking anything i.e. Faitala Mariner, Proctor. I'd rather invest in someone like Kayal Iro who has been biding his time in NSW Cup for Sharks & can play Centre/2nd Row.

Sharks might have just shot themselves in the foot signing Nikora for that they have a lot of solid players off contract the next 2 years that 1.7 mill is gonna haunt them down the line
Having all that extra cash hasn't amounted to much for us in the last few. We have jagged maybe 2 targets out of 20?
We need to get rid of the taint associated with us.
Better coach maybe?

There is no way we're approaching Proctor or RFM. We have Blore next year, plus a host of development players who are backrowers: Tumeth, Matamua, O'Kane, Kautoga.
I think unless we get quality like a Crichton, we'll put our faith in them.
