Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

As the final debate kicks off, and whilst I am certainly biased in regards to the participants, it must be said that only one of them is brave enough to open himself up to any media.

Albanese, despite knowing the only hosts that Morrison would agree to were at best somewhat hostile venues for him, he agreed regardless.

He even went on the bloody Alan Jones show, yet his opponent only enters the friendly environments including the likes of 2GB.

Labor. It's not theory. If you read my post it details how efficiencies can be achieved.
I'm afraid your post didn't detail anything. You gave a very broad outline of a well hashed theory but zero detail. That's my point. All I've heard from both parties is hollow promises but no detail on how they'll do it.
It's like saying they're going to land on the moon. If you ask how they're going to get there, they'll say "I'll fly there, you fool!" And then we're all supposed to just believe them.

Wow, if there were truly undecided watching tonight, I reckon that Morrison just lost plenty of them with his reply to a single question. Being the opportunity for each of them to praise an aspect of their opponent.

He showed just how disgusting an individual he most always is, by taking yet another chance to belittle another to market himself. The quality of his opponent then shone through as he praised the increased mental health program spending under Morrison without retort.

See, this is why nothing ever improves. You're belittling the blokes argument because he has a different opinion but not presenting any convincing counter yourself. Use a few terms like lunacy and tin foil, that'll prove you right...
He hasn’t got an argument and if you had bothered reading the thread you would know that.
Now run off back to the rumours thread Timmy and spread some more lies about signings. It’s always a good laugh.

Good. Howard's policy choices in August 2001 made the decision for me that his developing iteration of Liberals could no longer receive my vote. So getting the opportunity to cast mine as one of his constituency in a Denistone East church to directly remove him in 2007 was a sweet experience.

Stuff like him later taking our nation to war based on known lies was bad enough, but as the current guy has ruined our parliament and completely wiped transparency, I would love it even more if I lived in Cook and could be part of removing Morrison, along with his government come Saturday week.
I hope the ALP win for your sake.
The content of your posts clearly points towards selfharm if they lose.
Chill out for Christ sakes. You whinging and whining on here isn’t changing anyones minds. It’s just boring us all senseless.

Significant improvements in productivity can be achieved through increased Govt investment in the education of our workforce. This could include additional places at TAFE, the Govt establishing the Naval Shipbuilding College in SA to provide the high end skilled workforce required to build new naval ships noting the worldwide shortage of these skills. It could also be the Govt requiring our teachers meeting benchmark literacy standards.

Other ways a Govt can improve productivity is the provision of better infrastructure such as roads and rail which reduces transport time especially industries associated with earning import/export dollars. Improvements to IT systems, machinery and transport can also improve productivity. The way a company measures productivity can also have a profound impact on improvements.

These are tangible and realistic improvements and whether you agree with it, wage rises are going to have to be accompanied by improvements to productivity in the inflationary economy we live in under Scumo.

Hard to believe there is a debate on whether the lowest paid and mostly being essential workers should not get a substantial wage rise and go backwards.
We know many of our essential workers such as teachers, doctors, nurses, paramedics and tradesman have difficulty securing homes near their places of employment. Although the NSW Govt has attempted to address this, the Feds need to step in around Aust.

I've had a few horses best one was Fuhryk was Trained by Hayes she won 750k ran in a few Group 1 races.
Have 2 at the moment Nevada Smoke and Killabakh Dancer both are trained at taree
Hey Jedi, Fuhryk was a great mare - plenty of black type on her page. Has she thrown any decent progeny?

I've got a small share in a 2yo Pierro colt (being gelded this week) with Joe Pride and another Ribchester filly rising 2yo. Neither will probably run as a 2yo - so patience and $$$ lol.

no mate she hasn't thrown anything as yet. She was a cheap $45k purchase when she was bought she was a bit unlucky in the winter bottom stakes in w.a. but never had anything close to that since.
I have a share in Mister hemsworth trained by Anna belle Neasham it has had a 2nd and a 3rd in England it raced over there as Hemsworth. Annabelle was like it is doing everything right and gives her the same feel as Zaki so here is hoping. Currently spelling I think when it debuts out here we will likely take it bush to get a kill but he is bred to go 2 miles
Overall they are money munchers mate

I am alright thanks Jack.

My concern is for those at the edges that struggle most weeks to keep a roof over their heads, for the lady taking her kids to school in a car full of their meagre belongings that they are living in.

I changed two people's minds on Monday afternoon that were about to vote against their interests in the marginal Dobell and one from Robertson that is going to research further, so if my information can get just one on here it will have been worth it.

You're a hard marker! She won a G3 at her sixth start, beaten a lip in a G2, then won a G3, then won a Listed Race, then 2nd in the Winterbottom G1, then finally beaten a lip in a G3 at the end of her career! What a mare!

Sorry, should have done this by PM instead of cluttering up the politics thread 🙂 and will in future.

Joshy attacks Albo. Wasn't Josh the one who came close to trebling the debt prior to the pandemic.

It must be almost time for him to put his arm around Scomo's shoulders and say he's my PM, I'm ambitious for him.
