Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Angus C is a very good player,

Hasn't been consistent in a largely consistent team.

Im not sure he is the Marquee that we need culturally at the Tigers.

Paying overs is a guaranteed way of not improving, the dogs are a perfect example of that
We have the same record as the Dogs. I’m not saying we should have thrown the kitchen sink at Nikora but the reality is that we’ve won two games this year and have a massive whole in the backrow for next year so we have to do something in terms of signings l.

Yep, Unless the Dogs are cheating, They're in a whole lot of Salary Cap hurt.

To many are on overs.

The right player will come up. Patience is key. The worst scenario is that we blood some of our up-and-coming stars early.

We have a stunning new training facility very soon. I know I like a nice office to go to.... We have 2 very experienced coaches, some great assistants, a CEO who is ensuring the finances are there for the best equipment and support staff. Plus, the inner west as a place to get the family home near concord.

We've got a lot more going for us than we think. The right player will come.

Oh, and the best fans in the league yeah?

I would say it’s 50/50 with Sharks coming to the table late, whole situation benefitting them ATM.

We definitely are still in the hunt but he’s not certain.
Surely the Sharks must be close to max cap with the players they have... If this kid is as good as a lot say we might need to increase to get him or at least show him its a better chance at 1st grade here. Fingers crossed

Angus was great up until last season, easy to see that Covid seemed to affect some more than others. Deserves another chance to play good footy in an improving team as a leader; much like Madge was able to have him doing at South Sydney.

These are the kinds of guys that improve optics, just hope they’re taking to measures to ensure that we in no way get played, also making a longterm offer that suits us for marquee players. Will basically be the first type of this kinda signing, as Api was predicted to leave Penrith and likely on around the same money, with Papali’i signing on for less than market value.

Crichton’s the forward leader to help Stef mature and grow into his role next year… many moving parts

We should be able to outbid the Sharks and offer him NRL game time which the Sharks cannot do with Kennedy (and won't do while Kennedy and their centre are out).

We have had a massive injury toll all season and have been the victim of a lot of disgraceful refereeing yet should have probably won 3 more games.i like our future far more than theirs as they will have to shed highly paid players yet again this year.A team full of players on overs is a long term time bomb

Overs for Cobbo at this stage looks like around 395-495k for the next 1-2 years due to his inexperience and youth. Would have no interest in moving to NSW I believe but may be worth a shot at forcing another teams hand to play moneyball and sign anyone decent missing out.

One guy I’d like us to seriously start courting is TC Robati or even Jordan Riki, hearing that one will definitely become available within the year.

Those juniors plus Penrith and Sharks are safety nets.
