Brent Naden #256

Am I the only one who smells a rat.
Gus wants Madge knowing he's tenure at the tigers is on an edge. What Gus wants, Gus gets.
Players who signed on under Barrett may elect to stay with a successful coach [I can hear you laughing].
So they give us Naden knowing our centre stocks are poor and if he helps us and we start winning then our big signings for next year might feel more secure and honour their contract.
Then you have Angus, would he come if Madge is not coach and Flannigan is.
The whole circus is starting to get weird.
Maybe Madge stays and we still get our boys plus Angus and more......
Anyway Naden is a good catch. I just hope he gives our building of indigenous players a good name.
I think we just needed a centre so bought one.

So if Burton has a clause in his contract (I read this on the forum), what are the Dogs' chances of retaining him? Are we interested and in a position to make an attractive offer?

I absolutely hope so. Regardless of Brooks' future, I would sign him regardless to play centre with To'a, if not 6. Naden to the wing in lieu of Nofoaluma who I am certain we may soon hear might be in a spot of bother.

what have you heard about Nofo Bogan , have you got some goss or just thinking he is out to long for head knock

Have not been a fan of his as a player and even less as a human. Willing to give him a chance to prove himself as both, at our club. As far as signings go, it is pretty good business at a time when we need players. Time will tell if he puts in for us - who knows at worst he may prove to be great depth.

With Burton and dealing with the Dogs, it must help WTs that our recruitment guy was formerly their recruitment guy. We can hope anyway.

Suprised with all the Signing new lately we didn't hear it here first.

Wonder if this has any impact on the dykes Signing as I'm sure Naden played fb b4

Agree with all this.

Let's see how he goes, we're not exactly stacked with depth - in any position.

Happened fairly quick today.

Naden wanted out of the Dogs. Dogs have already paid half his salary for this season and are chipping in 100k-150k for next season.

All up, Tigers are paying 200k for the remainder of this season and 250k for next season.
Even that's not great value for him. The Bulldogs were paying stupid overs...

He fills a gaping hole in our team.
Yes, he's not the world's best centre . . . but he is BY FAR the best we have.
As far as looking at his sub-par efforts with Canterbury, and then saying he's no good . . . which of their players has put in a "par" performance this year ?
