Brent Naden #256

Naden is weird as a signing.

I see him going very well with Laurie and moreover I see us becoming a Penrith Pipe and unless the Bulldogs sign Ciraldo then we may become the chosen target for Panthers leaving the club.

They seem to all be young types who love playing with each other. Great, clear our wood and get more Penrith players here.

As someone else said "starting Center for last years premiers".
No one here has knocked center down and claimed the spot. Gildart hasn't proven wonderful, I see Naden doing as well as James Roberts in the Center spot.

Where too:
Would love it if we could get Laurie Daily as an assistant coach or someone similar. I know we tried this before, it would work well with Naden and Daine Laurie (doubt the NRL will change their minds. So stuffed).
Naden is a player to play tough love too. He clearly has a history and seemed to sort himself out.
Nofo,
James Roberts
Brent Naden
Maumalo

It doesn't seem like a bad backline now. Our spine is clicking so I see a little hope.

Great pickup for the price we got him for... Excellent business in a area we need to get cover for.
Now he brings the aggression and size we lack and can finish off a try so well worth a go..

I know we have a lot of injuries but if we lose to the Dogs this week we WILL be front & Back page for the next week about how bad we are losing to this team.
Massive game and good time to show the players the last game where they touched us up..

I think Brent Naden will be a great signing. I know he has had some issues in the past, but he I a good kid. I was lucky enough to coach his younger sister in the NSW PSSA cricket team in Darwin many years ago and Brent and the family came on the tour. They were a great family and as I said Brent was a great kid. He also came through the lower grades as a fullback so can provide cover in a few positions. With the right support around him he will be a success. He has pace and plays with passion.

Jesus christ just saw on FB can't believe this garbage
Last game I saw him play he had about 5 lost possessions.... He was OK in panthers 3/4 line but.... But.... I guess we're short of center... Hope he turns out to be another momorovski

Naden could come back to bite Dogs on Friday – as a Tiger

A desire to play centre – not Trent Barrett’s departure as Bulldogs coach – is the main reason behind Brent Naden’s stunning mid-season switch to the Wests Tigers.

Naden, 26, will take part in his first training session at Concord on Wednesday before coach Michael Maguire decides whether to unleash him at Leichhardt Oval on Friday night against the same teammates with whom he was commiserating on Monday as the news of Barrett’s exit came through.

“Brent was thrown up as a possibility last week because the kid wanted to play centre, he was on the wing at Canterbury, and we needed to strengthen that area,” Tigers football manager Tim Sheens told the Herald.

“He’s a good character, he’s got ability, and we need propping up in that area. He’s named on the team list, but that will be up to ‘Madge’ [coach Michael Maguire] if he plays Friday.”
Tigers co-captain James Tamou played with Naden at the Panthers and said he was a “completely changed man” after taking ownership of the cocaine drama he was embroiled with on the eve of the 2020 grand final, then later becoming a father.

“He competes on everything, he’s strong out of yardage, a good finisher, and he will bring so much to our team; I’m pumped,” Tamou said.

Naden played eight games for the Dogs, including last Friday’s loss to Newcastle which doubled as Barrett’s last game before he walked from the club.
