Scotty from Marketing and Josh I got my hand on my heart Fydenburg have gross national debt at 42.5 per cent of GDP.

Peak Whitlam at 24.5, Peak Hawke - Keating at 24, Rudd-Gillard 20.

Now who can't manage money?

Not at all. If you want to discuss the merits or otherwise fine. But your posts are littered with silly slogans and LNP talking points.
so Scotty from Marketing that's fine but Albonomics is bad ?
the super scheme has merits for first home buyers, its not me but let people have choice, for some it might be a good option especially purchasing in Sydney where no matter where you buy you will be ahead in the long run

The PM tells us that wage growth is the hallmark of a strong economy but they’ve been sluggish for a decade.

I’ve made a few posts. Rarely if ever do I use that commonly used term for Morrison. It’s most of yours.

not saying you specifically so shoukdnt have said you sorry
but Scotty from Marketing used plenty on here and you don't call that out with then that's all

Agree - We really should stop using "Scotty From Marketing".

He was sacked from his last marketing job at Tourism Australia, and that was ages ago.

Sadly, "all of the above"
And our politicians did not say a word??
The WHO has no credibility as far as I'm concerned.

Everyone must surely remember January 2020 when the WHO released a statement along the lines that ...

They have seen no evidence of human to human transmission of COVID 19.

And that they don't recommend border closures.

Well, this was their moment, exactly the sort of thing they exist for and they come up with that.

No accountability.

Any national delegation to bodies like this is outside of government mandate and a threat to a nations security with the above in mind.

Do we get a vote on this?

If our polity wasn't so toxic a few of the policies that were the undoing of Labor at the last election made some sense. Restricting negative gearing to new properties only would have been a start to help the supply side.

Hopefully tax reform is at the heart of the next government. Way to many tax benefits and particularly for the boomer generation for way too long.

I think it's a terrible decision. I think the libs are worse than Labor but it's not really saying much. They both aren't very good but it's us that are the problem.

This is a good article. We have massive societal problems and yet both parties are appealing to our back pockets rather than trying to do the right thing.

We need politicians that are going to come in and do the right thing for society but unfortunately we won't vote for those policies.

So instead of fixing the deficit, moving towards clean energy (I think this is happening much more so than other issues) and fixing the housing problem we have cheap grabs for our votes.

Pumping money into the economy has led to massive house price increases. I even watched a show on house prices recently (I don't know how old it was) and a liberal politician admitted every time they provide more money all that happens is house prices increase. So what do they do ?

I'm not really having a go at the libs because the alternative isn't that great either.

I agree with you that it is unsustainable but the only way I can see it changing is on the supply side. I don't think increasing supply by continuing the urban sprawl in the capital cities is the answer either.

Apartments and more apartments. We don't want urban sprawl and it's probably not cost effective. You can make nice apartments that can house lots of people.

You can even provide lower density housing.

We need to increase supply. That is the best way to fix the problem.

We also need tax reform.

people took out 10k for covid and didn't worry about super balance
taking 50k for a chance at a deposit it is a good move
Some 30% removed all or basically all of their super and figures are starting to come through on just how disastrous a policy it has been.

Especially so for women that discrimination and life's expectations have them with virtually none in their name, having now been left worse off when their partner has left after taking out up to $20k.

This on top of our PM calling the aged pension welfare, disrespectful and disregarding history and their contribution to society.

Is this discrimination ? I'm not convinced at all. My wife has about 1/4 of the Super I have. She earned a lot less and worked less. I'm assuming if we were to get divorced she would get half my Super as well.

I think we call out discrimination way too easily.

There's heaps of empty homes, around 30,000 sit empty.

Supply is not a problem.

Almost sounds like there are plenty of "pandemics" in the pipeline rather than so called 1 in 100 year events.

Maybe it will be the new way of managing economies and the public.

Australia is almost totally under foreign control.

New world order?

Sorry I don't understand this. How exactly does the WHO "manage" our pandemic response?

Of course it is, Super is tied to wages and women are definitely discriminated on wages, so therefore Super as well.

Also, did you actually read my post, as it was about men taking up to $20k out of their funds out during covid, doing whatever with it and then leaving, then went to demeaning of pensioners? The money is no longer there to divide.

This is a circular argument. So women aren't discriminated with Super but with wages and therefore they end up with less Super.

Maybe a better way for me to phrase my response to this is did my wife earn less than me due to her choices (and potentially ability) or due to discrimination.

I don't think it's a simple issue where women are discriminated against within their job. I'm not going the other way and stating men are discriminated against and that we don't need some positive discrimination for women.

I worked for the Commonwealth Bank and when I left they had a clear policy to promote women to executive level positions.

That is different but what can you do about that ? I watched a story about older Asian men gambling all their money away and leaving their wives destitute.

It's wrong but is that discrimination ?

I think CB,with this new treaty that gives the WHO the power to do anything within our country in regard to pandemics that otherwise our Govt would implement a response, they will overide it and if that means more lockdowns, vaccines, passports etc they will have the power not the Govt they will control everything...its a New World Order phase of taking a countries sovereignty...google WEF ,NWO and WHO...
Also google the "Covid 19 the Great reset written by Klaus Swabb the head of the World Economic Forum....
