Agree,This is a circular argument. So women aren't discriminated with Super but with wages and therefore they end up with less Super.
Maybe a better way for me to phrase my response to this is did my wife earn less than me due to her choices (and potentially ability) or due to discrimination.
I don't think it's a simple issue where women are discriminated against within their job. I'm not going the other way and stating men are discriminated against and that we don't need some positive discrimination for women.
I worked for the Commonwealth Bank and when I left they had a clear policy to promote women to executive level positions.
That is different but what can you do about that ? I watched a story about older Asian men gambling all their money away and leaving their wives destitute.
It's wrong but is that discrimination ?
Affirmative action discriminates against men in isolation while promoting a general equality idea.
And if anybody's thinking divorce, don't.
You will be discriminated against if you're a man....sorry a male person.
