Can't needs to be announced in the squad by Tuesday. And line up against us tonite?!!
We should take him for the remainder
Yeah, just a gentle joke at the modern day NRL.Can't needs to be announced in the squad by Tuesday.
“Buddy” ???Modern times aren't 10 years ago Buddy....
(We've only existed for 20 odd)
Peoples has played 2 games, I'll give you Keppie and Britt.
So where's this plethora of NRL talent that you're saying has been neglected by Wests Tigers?
Going off your post, Maybe the reason The WT's aren't looking at the Football in the SWS is there's nothing to look at?
“Buddy” ???
You having a rough Friday or something ??? 🤔
I quantified “modern times” as players still playing in the NRL (you didn’t stipulate a time frame). I mean I could of gone back to Freddy Fittler, Jarryd Hayne, Jason Taylor, or even Tim Sheens etc.
But seriously, the club has two junior areas.
From those areas, players who in “modern times” have debuted in the NRL have in the absolute majority of cases, been with other clubs. In my world, that’s called neglect (especially given the abject failure of our club’s NRL side during this same period).
Wests have decided, at long last, to re-dedicate resources to the south-west juniors and with Gallant, Mears, McMenemy and co leading the way ... the 16s & 17s have thrived this season.
You dismissively say they’re just kids, but that’s what you deal with in junior development. Selwyn Cobbo and Joseph Sualilii are only a couple of years older than these ‘kids’ so identifying the cream and keeping them is paramount. Wests have been crap at it now for almost a decade.
Your the only one who has narrowed the discussion to “superstar kids”Knew all that....
But we're talking about superstar kids that came out of SWS to take the NRL by Storm.
Paseka is the only kid I can recall of late to come out of there and put a stamp on the game...
So, As of this post - There's 1
Selwyn Cobbo and Joseph Sualilii are only a couple of years older than these ‘kids’ so identifying the cream and keeping them is paramount. Wests have been crap at it now for almost a decade.
We are a bit of reform school ourselves!Definately not,he should be in the slammer
The south-west has produced Anthony Minichielo, Jarryd Hayne, Ryan Hoffman, & James Tedesco over the past few decades ... how many superstars per decade would float your boat?

But I’ll play along. The south-west has produced Anthony Minichielo, Jarryd Hayne, Ryan Hoffman, & James Tedesco over the past few decades ... how many superstars per decade would float your boat?
Yeah that’s probably fair.I agree getting these kids would be great. I'm not sure we are so poor at identifying them.
Who have we missed out on from that area and was it Tigers mismanagement ?
It's good to hear that Wests are dedicating resources ti the south-west though. I hope they kill it.
We picked the best of them. I'm certainly not knocking the area. I'm not convinced that we missed out on these players though because of a lack of care within the area.
It's not so simple with the top players. Clubs pilfer top junior players from other districts all the time.
They do, and the successful clubs have an uncanny ability to hold onto their own while also managing to pilfer others. But that’s the successful clubs ...It's not so simple with the top players. Clubs pilfer top junior players from other districts all the time.
Didn’t say that hahaAnd line up against us tonite?!!
