Just hope there is a lot of disappointed Joe Albo supporters on Sunday as we cannot afford Penny Wrong and this destroy fossil fuel ideology at this time. Clean energy is a developing science that will have its place as technology also develops. At this time we cannot hang our hat on a windmill. I cannot see why we cannot observe what is happening to many countries including U.S are now going under economically as their socialists' have America jumping off a cliff under elite democrats with financial agendas Just like our own Holmes Accourt. Clean energy will have its time BUT its certainly NOT Now. Wrong and Dumbo Albo are seriously dangerous
By the government's own figures and projections, renewable energy will supply more than 50% of Australia's main energy grid by 2025 and 69% by 2030.

I'd say its time is well and truly now.

Why you have singled out Penny Wong (who will be the foreign affairs minister if elected) is anyone's guess.

Given the chance, the LNP would privatise your grandparents. Mine died years ago so they may be safe (for now).

Great to see Julia Gillard out and about. Labor idol and outstanding PM.

Agree with this but I was disappointed that the privatizations began with Hawke who I voted for with my first vote.

That's the problem, main policy is foreign controlled really. They went along with the Reagan and Thatcher lines even though they were on opposing side politically.

As for privatizations of our grandparents they could do it with death duties.

Thankfully we can have our own opinions and as a Labour voter along with my father who was a coal miner and has long past, I find that the Incompetent Albo alternative has already displayed many of the characteristics that you have lumped on our Prime Minister before they even enter leadership so God help us if this set of misfits become our guiding hand. The Labor party left the ordinary people like my fathers generation and myself many years ago and now only represent inner city strong holds of themselves and the Totally tragic greens.
I myself agree with making our world less polluted and as a person who has fought the floods in Maitland and seen much of the worlds pollution improvements personally in my travels I feel that just as the Floods in Maitland have not been an issue in Maitland for over 60 years because of mans Interventions. Work to close mines and leave people unemployed or having them in jobs screwing down solar panels at $24 an hour is not an improvement in peoples lives and would lead to ghettoes in the regions.

Immediately looking to close down our major source of energy and national income is idiotic. climate advocate or sceptic

It doesnt say where you live ?

Thanks Mate I am sure a majority of people want a strong vision for our great country and I would support anyone who shows me sensible vision just look at Sir Lanka and the state they find themselves in as they wanted to go green immediately. NO $ , No Food, No Electricity. I would just hate to find this great country exposed to anything like them

I think you may be conflating the ALP with the Greens policy a bit. The ALP acknowledge that there is a transition phase that must take place. They know that there will still be a period that fossil fuels will be required, as the sun doesn't shine all day and the wind isn't always blowing, but they will start rolling infrastructure in place where they can to drive down dependency on the fossil fueled supply grid. They have also an emphasis on electric vehicles tied in with a local manufacturing policy (obviously not going to be 100% feasible in australia with trucks and the like,) to try and lower vehicle emissions.

None of this would have been a problem if we invested in nuclear fission in the 90's, but everyone panicked because a mismanaged plant in the shithole failing Soviet Union had a meltdown.

I worry how much worse things will get with China if the LNP are returned. The Solomon Islands was a critical national security failure.

You're entitled to your head in the sand opinions on climate change but once again the low rent personal insults on ALP Mps comes out. Try arguing your case without the character reflections. I personally dislike the policies of Frydenburg and Howard but I don't doubt they're smart capable people.

Let's not kid ourselves Joe Albo has show us over the last few weeks that he would be incapable in tying his own shoelace without help

Just moronic. The energy companies themselves are bringing forward the closure of coal fired power plants due to no longer being economically viable long term.

Because renewables have tipped the balance for being more affordable.
Then take away the massive subsidies and see how affordable they are at this stage in development

Can't disagree with much of this.

Considering the handouts favour the incumbent it's amazing the ALP is in the lead.

Probably a testament to Albanese being viewed as high in integrity.

Trouble is I would've preferred a few more major policy divergences aka Shorten but his running purely on an integrity platform pretty much so is the low view held in Morrison.
I would have preferred they ran with very similar policies as in 2019, as they were very good policies for the nation.

Trouble is they get ripped apart in the Murdoch press, which in an industry long hollowed of journalistic numbers and editorial credibility, creates the media narrative of the day.

I cling to the hope of change and a relatively speedy white paper style report on taxation with subsequent action.

Hugh, you show me yours and I'll show you mine.

Large swings against labor last election in this whole area, this is why Joel Fitsgibbon jumped ship, still don't know where you are from ?

Australian Governments are no longer selected on policies.
Labor changed Australia to an American Presidential styled election in 2007 and it has remained one ever since.
Scomo v Albo is how it will be decided.

I’m not sure how many keep up to date but I just read that in the past 7 days, 334 873 Australians have caught Covid.
A timely reminder with polling around the country tomorrow to look out for yourself.
Im voting today personally to miss some of the crowds. This shit is everywhere.
Gee thats a large number Stryker....could you give me the figure of how many are double and triple vaxxed just so we can clarify that the shot really works...
It seems that there are conflicting opinions that the science isnt always right...
asking for a friend who has had 2 shots a 2 boosters....
