Can't disagree with much of this.

Considering the handouts favour the incumbent it's amazing the ALP is in the lead.

Probably a testament to Albanese being viewed as high in integrity.

Trouble is I would've preferred a few more major policy divergences aka Shorten but his running purely on an integrity platform pretty much so is the low view held in Morrison.

Labor aren't running on a major policy shift like last election. Went hard last time and the middle class shit themselves and voted against them in droves.

I would completely agree with that,Australians resist a major change in policy unless the government is so badly on the nose that they want a total change from what they are getting. The clearest example of that in my life was when Whitlam was elected promising a better future for Australians (1.Universal healthcare 2.removal of conscription and getting out of the Vietnam war 3.Reducing the voting age to 18 4.Improving the lifestyle of indigenous Australians) there were other major changes also but it was a massive change in policy which Australians embraced.

I’m not sure how many keep up to date but I just read that in the past 7 days, 334 873 Australians have caught Covid.
A timely reminder with polling around the country tomorrow to look out for yourself.
Im voting today personally to miss some of the crowds. This shit is everywhere.

Yeah there's 377,000 active cases nationwide at the moment. The wife and I are going at separate times so we don't have to drag the kids with us, in and out.

Yeah, thing is with Whitlam whether your opinion of him is positive or negative, he had a vision. Neither the ALP or LNP has a visionary leading their party. Both just want to maintain the status quo to keep the middle class happy because they will vote with whatever aligns with their interests. I would say that for this class, the two things they care about is lower income tax rates and maintaining Medicare.

This may be of interest.

So news emerging today that ScoMo's national security committee rejected a push last November by Marise Payne for Australia to double its Pacific aid funding, specifically to counter China. This is incredible news, if true. it means that during her tenure as Foreign Minister Marise Payne has actually done something! Hard to believe, I know. Of course ScoMo's crew took one look at it and said "Are you nuts? We don't do things!" and rejected it, but this nevertheless stands as one of the strangest and most surprising revelations of this election.

Yeah fair play to her if she went for it and got knocked back, at least someone had the common sense to see that it made sense strategically to keep our pacific neighbours on side. Another Morrison failure.

Well,

Tonight after we smash that "other" team I'm going to get into election mode by watching "Dons Party".

Especially like that bird (reminds me of my ex) that turns up to the party with that guy with a moustache who ends up doing a bit of damage.

Notice on their fuzzy TV early on what seems like a young Beetson carting it up in Balmain colours.

It is another very disturbing news from this govt.
This would mean that by being so incompetent Scomo and his national shame committee have inflicted such great damage to our future that it would take a tremendous amount of effort, time and funding to fix all this garbage that he has put us into.

Rumours Frydenburg has put out the feelers for Tudge's seat as Plan B if things don't work out in Kooyong. Many Victorians think of him as the Treasurer for NSW.

Just hope there is a lot of disappointed Joe Albo supporters on Sunday as we cannot afford Penny Wrong and this destroy fossil fuel ideology at this time. Clean energy is a developing science that will have its place as technology also develops. At this time we cannot hang our hat on a windmill. I cannot see why we cannot observe what is happening to many countries including U.S are now going under economically as their socialists' have America jumping off a cliff under elite democrats with financial agendas Just like our own Holmes Accourt. Clean energy will have its time BUT its certainly NOT Now. Wrong and Dumbo Albo are seriously dangerous

Agree with much of this.

And that the problem.

Each party has major flaws in policy.

Thanks Mate I am sure a majority of people want a strong vision for our great country and I would support anyone who shows me sensible vision just look at Sir Lanka and the state they find themselves in as they wanted to go green immediately. NO $ , No Food, No Electricity. I would just hate to find this great country exposed to anything like them

Have you actually read what the Labor policy on climate change is? It's a pretty middle of the road offering that does not reflect an ideology to immediately "destroy fossil fuel".
