Hugh, you show me yours and I'll show you mine.

And just for completeness -

You're entitled to your head in the sand opinions on climate change but once again the low rent personal insults on ALP Mps comes out. Try arguing your case without the character reflections. I personally dislike the policies of Frydenburg and Howard but I don't doubt they're smart capable people.
Maybe you should practice what you want to preach with your
"head in the sand comment".I am entitled to my opinion

Gee thats a large number Stryker....could you give me the figure of how many are double and triple vaxxed just so we can clarify that the shot really works...
It seems that there are conflicting opinions that the science isnt always right...
asking for a friend who has had 2 shots a 2 boosters....
Nope.

Answering for a friend.

Regardless of the readily available evidence, common sense and basic mathematics show that the vaccines are very effective.

Can you then please explain to me that 2 of my friends got vaxxed last year and this year so they could keep their jobs...
1 had 2 shots the other 2 shots and a booster...
both rang me last week and said they have tested positive for covid....
as per usual you are entitled to your opinion and I to mine ...
My friends will appreciate your answer....

No claims have ever been made that the vaccines completely prevent infection/transmission.

But they demonstrably reduce the severity of symptoms and incidence of severe illness.

Hope that helps your friends.

It is about saving lives and if you haven't worked that out by now there is little hope that you ever will.

The vaccines are based on the initial strain, which they were effective against transmission and were still relatively so for the next to emerge strains. If they were targeted to individual new strains they would almost certainly be 75% plus effective against transmission as well.

Vaccines do not stop the possibility of catching covid, however they do largely reduce the chances of you catching it and the probable severity of the illness

A timely reminder with polling around the country tomorrow to look out for yourself.
Im voting today personally to miss some of the crowds. This shit is everywhere.
Plenty of flu as well after a couple of years virtually free of it here on the NSW Central Coast. School classes half full and struggling for teachers for them as well.

Young blokes' team who normally have a few reserves are now trying to work out whether we need to forfeit or can muster the bare minimum to run on tomorrow.

This may be of interest.

So news emerging today that ScoMo's national security committee rejected a push last November by Marise Payne for Australia to double its Pacific aid funding, specifically to counter China. This is incredible news, if true. it means that during her tenure as Foreign Minister Marise Payne has actually done something! Hard to believe, I know. Of course ScoMo's crew took one look at it and said "Are you nuts? We don't do things!" and rejected it, but this nevertheless stands as one of the strangest and most surprising revelations of this election.

Payne is a reasonable person and probably the coalition's best representative minister wise, but very hard to operate with both her hands tied behind her back by powerful zealots in the coalition.

Grayandler has been blue ribbon ALP forever.

Probably would vote for Tucker Carlson if he was on the ALP ticket.

Bloody well hope not, as that could be nearly as dangerous a substitution as the rubbish replacement theory that the knob himself peddles.

Then last week we saw a young man believing such diatribe from him on FOX News and others, then go out and slaughter 10 innocent people as a result.

Just moronic. The energy companies themselves are bringing forward the closure of coal fired power plants due to no longer being economically viable long term.

Because renewables have tipped the balance for being more affordable.

Guy thinks renewable energy sources are some emerging trend. Even the major power companies are rapidly transitioning from fossils to renewables.

Mate, being vaxxed doesn’t stop you from getting it. No one has ever claimed that. It stops you from dying or being on a ventilator

Graham Richardson's view on the election. Craig Laundy pushing the LNP barrow. Richardson views should be considered.
